There is no fixed criteria to this segment. It's all focused on emerging talent - regardless of social media presence, releases, or being active on the live circuit. The only prerequisite is prevalent passion. As you already know, we at Chronicles are not limited by any genre bias. All genres are welcome. The essence of this segment is the anatomy of the mix and the technical skills utilised to create that story.

Илья Воронин один из основателей инди-издания "Белое Яблоко" выпускающего, на русском языке, книги посвящённые актуальной поп и альтернативной культуре, а также танцевальной музыке. 

Илья ведущий программы Призма на Megapolis 89,5 fm. Он ответил на вопросы Самира Кулиева о своем творческом пути, поведав о юности, о музыкальных пристрастиях, о том как они с друзьями решили издавать Mixmag в России и о многом другом. В эфире Илья поставил несколько любимых пластинок в целой палитре стилей от Reggae до Chicago House, которые по праву можно назвать классикой танцевальной музыки.

We welcome Vishnu Vishwanath for the eighteenth edition of our 'Deep In Mix' series. He is a versatile DJ/Producer from Hyderabad, India, and his sets are a transition through stages of emotions, blurring the boundaries between house and techno.

Vishnu made a foray into the electronic music territory in the year 2014 and with the residency at The Farm World Cafe, Hyderabad, in 2017 is where it all began for him. His pursuit to push fresh and forward-thinking sounds rapidly put him on the map as one of the most sought DJ’s to work the clubs. His sets contour shades of pulsating rhythms, melancholic sounds, balearic beats, gritty bass lines, moody grooves and sometimes happy indie dance. He is relentlessly working in the studio to put out his first EP. Vishnu has caught the eye of prominent venues and the most discerning promoters making regular appearances at exclusive nights across the club circuit.

He is guided by a vision, to find the most powerful expression of the contemporary evolution in DJ led dance music. He has shared decks with International stalwarts like Denis Horvat, Murat Uncuoglu, Tim Engelhardt, Nicone, ENØS, TASH and homegrown supremes like Murthovic, Kohra, Praveen Achary, BLOT, Ash Roy etc. He derives inspiration from heavyweights in the scene like Murthovic, Frankey & Sandrino, DJ Koze, Murat Uncuoglu, Mano Le Tough, &ME, Rampa, Marcus Worgull to name a few. He has played at the pre-parties for Wonderflip Festival, Krank - Goa and the best gigs for him were at Block 22 and Tabula Rasa, both in Hyderabad.

"I think the music these days is not confined to any genre, It's continuously evolving. Likewise, I like to keep my sets fresh. I'm really digging the stuff coming out from labels like Isolate, TAU, Keinemusik, Frau Blau, Eklektisch, Nein Records, Nebula Sounds etc." he shares. "This is a very different mix which I made over my green tea, hand-picking favourites from the latest sets that I have played fitting any occasion - work, cooking, working out or PARTY!" he adds.
