The hour of music before you was recorded during The Silver Lining, our beautiful stream from the studio of Olivia Steele, in Berlin. We have always been an incredible fan of the music and beings behind Mira & Chris Schwarzwälder. But sets like this make our hearts beat even faster.

So I decided to put together a bit of a different mix for you all. Some will call it deep house, some will call it nu disco, some will call it deep prog, tech... whatever. It's just a laidback 120bpm house mix, a collection of records I've bought over the past few years which I rarely get to play. There's 1 or 2 new tracks on here. There's a track on here which is 10 years old. It's not meant to be cool nor upfront, it's just a beautiful mix that's meant to be played in the sun :)

Hypnotizing with a progressive introspective style, Van Did wraps his talent for details and nuance around melodic grooves and transformed field recordings to take us on cinematic journeys through uncannily familiar lands. After international tours here is his set recorded live at melodic techno label @Bergwacht's summer closing in Cologne, Van Did also played an expansive live set of original compositions on the MUTEK stage of EXPERIENCE Mexico.

Much of Van Did's music tells an adventure story arced over warping rhythms, minimalist classical touches and documentary-like vocals, often reflecting environmental themes. After releasing more than 20 original tracks and elaborate remixes on several labels including Germany's Traum Schallplatten, he created his own in 2011: Grrreat Recordings, geared to explorations of immersive sound landscapes, field recordings, textured sound design and techniques for signal processing. Three years in the making, his newest release, Avenir plays on themes of horizon, future and perspective, launching the melodic and colourful club style of Montréal event-maker and collective, 8day's label.

First Yelo swoops in to start a fire with its low-key approach with a steady heat glowing from between the beats, creating a soulful and deep experience. Miu takes the stage next, trapping our imagination with a frail vocal narration as the beats swell and the bass builds, sending out a beautiful message to the universe and anyone listening. Mira & Chris @ Bachstelzen Fusion 2018

I'm so lucky to have been able to play twice at Fusion this year <3
Here is my second set at Panne Eichel/Bachstelzen floor on Monday for the afterhour, after the Dutch sweethearts Yor Kultura and before the one and only Mimi Love.
It's a huge honour to play at Bachstelzen and I'm very grateful to Michi aka. Madmotormiquel for giving me the chance to play at my favourite floor, with so many friends, peers and smiling faces. Thank you so much! :)
