From the archives- Another one of my favorites!
The story behind the music:  My initial house music experiences were from the dance floor side of the turntables. I was (still am) a househead/dancer.  As a songwriter, many of my songs were written from that perspective. I spent many of my early club years on the dance floors of New York City (I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY). Back then, it was all about the music. The club was a place for dancing and not necessarily mating. Still, there was that one individual that you gravitated to on the dance floor. You didn't come together, you didn't leave together....you didn't necessarily even know their name. But somehow he or she was yours for the night. Just dancing. This song is that story!
 
In around 2002, I met Carolyn Victorian in a club I was spinning in Baltimore. She too was a dancer, but with vocal talent as well. She wanted to sing for me. Hearing her voice, I knew I had already written the perfect song.  The rest is history and this was the first of many songs to come.

Another one from the archives - Right on time for the holidays. 
God has blessed me with the opportunity to work with some of the artists that I have always admired.  I was so overjoyed when I got the call to partner and pair with one of my favorite vocalists,  Joi Cardwell, for a special holiday project several years ago. 
I want to thank Hisa of King St. Sounds for creating that opportunity.
 
As it goes, I was actually not pleased with my work on the original track. It bothered me so much, that the following season, I remixed it to my personal satisfaction and sent it to Japan for release. It's a rare find. I hope you enjoy it. Written and performed by Joi Cardwell, produced by DJ Oji.
