Edition 12 of our Grooveology series has us hosting Jeff Swiff from Minneapolis in the US. Jeff is a producer of predominantly deep house music which spans across multiple formats including dusty jazz to bumpin swing house. He has released original productions and remixes on such labels as Blur, Scruniversal & Sugar Shack Records.

A Minneapolis dance music enthusiast and DJ with over a decade of strong roots in all that is funky, bouncy and jazzy (with a tint of soul) is finally pulling from these elements of love and dance floors, and infusing these ideas into his productions. Jeff Swiff has been focusing on what moves the soul and combines these influences, to create memorable sounds with essential vibes. When asked, why house music? “When I found house, the sounds took me to a different place and really set the tone for how the rest of my life would feel, and I’ve spent every moment since then trying to share the essential feeling that the music brings me to the heads in my community and across the world.”

Together with Christian James, he runs the incredible Nicewon Recordings where the pair express their production talent in purveying deep, rolling and groovy beats. Nicewon have been releasing wonderfully sounding EPs since 2017 and continue the press forward with rich deep house joints to this day
