Z.I.P.P.O  has been plugging away since more than 10 years in the techno scene, experimenting his talents in all genre’s from IDM to house to techno and always capturing the perfect aesthetic. 

Here for the first time, the SK_X series welcomes him to the expanding roster of artists. In true Z.I.P.P.O form he brings class to the table. 

Pulse and Distortion opens the 19th instalment of the series. With its groovy metallic synth line and restrained roars throughout.  Xuro hits a little deeper with the tom’s keeping the track in place as well as the ominous feeling over mystery surrounding the track. The B-side opens with Vocals by Celina Marie, over layering the mesmerizing synth sequence. Finally closing out the outstanding debut on SK from ZIPPO is the title track Morfismo. Ending where we started, with the drums and groove commanding to be heard in this production, the space around with washes of grit and texture.

Vorm launches its new digital release series with a debut by none other than the label’s founder, Maasym. This meticulously crafted 6-track EP is a pure homage to the dancefloor, stripped down to its core elements yet rich with depth. Maasym, known for his distinctive sweeps and modular synth wizardry, brings his signature touch to every corner of the release, creating tracks that are as intricate as they are impactful. Whether woven into DJ sets as essential tools or played on their own, each track offers something truly special.

Opening with «Different Areas,» a live recording that ebbs and flows through evolving synth landscapes, the EP sets a refined, yet inviting tone. The track’s relaxed, detail-rich vibe makes it an ideal opener. Next, «Bulwark» commands attention with its rolling rhythms and kinetic energy, a versatile weapon for both early set building and peak-time action. In keeping with the EP’s drum-driven focus, «Convulsive Pollination» shifts gears, taking listeners into hypnotic, cerebral territory with its expertly filtered, mind-bending synth lines.

The title track, «Road to North,» serves as the emotional heart of the release, uniting it with an expansive break that invites introspection while holding onto its dancefloor pulse. Lush, pad-heavy textures give it a unique emotional resonance, making it a standout moment for those memorable set peaks. «Laxasia» dives deep into tribal territory, tailor-made for peak-time intensity, while the EP closes with the atmospheric and cinematic «Seven Ashina Spears,» a meditative ambient piece centered around deep, resonant bass textures that leave a lasting impression.

Synthetik Sounds Unveils Star-Studded Compilation to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles techno label Synthetik Sounds is proud to announce the release of a powerful 39-track Various Artists compilation featuring an extraordinary lineup of global techno talent. In a time of urgent need, 100% of proceeds from the compilation will be donated to LA Fire Relief Funds, supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires that created havoc in the Los Angeles area in January 2025.

In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles County burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed more than 16,000 structures, caused at least 29 fatalities, and led to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents, affecting many in the underground techno and house community in our city.

When we asked artists to contribute to a V/A release to help our community, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.

This monumental release unites over 40 cutting-edge artists, all contributing their signature sounds to this meaningful cause. From techno veterans to rising stars, the compilation is a showcase of boundary-pushing artistry and the unity of the electronic music community.

Usually these cosmic gusts originate from the deepest reaches of outer space. In Orkidea & Lowland’s case though, they’re now coming from a point far closer to home! This month, the Solar wind relighting ‘Glowing Skies’ is generated by none other than Solarstone and pure sonic turbulence awaits!

Following their various collaborations, last summer saw Orkidea reteam with Petri ‘Lowland’ Alanko - the visionary behind the ‘Classical Trancelations’ series. 

Featuring on the Fin’s 2015 ‘Harmonia’ album, the result of their latest studio outing was the ether-steeped underground club hit, ‘Glowing Skies’.

 Now, taking the track to some peaker-time hours and rolling it onto some fuller-force floors, Solarstone brings new radiance & energy to the duo’s Aurora-inspired release. 

His Pure Mix revision expands the track’s power band, reframes Marianna Jakobsson’s vocal in a yet more uplifting light and delivers a riff that goes up for days. Empyrean vocals, lucent melodies and a break that’ll leave you breathless, this is trance music at its galactic best!
