this hard and sexually driven podcast was recorded "live" last weekend at Joe Fiore's "Furball" (Metro, Chicago) for IML Weekend.   Its hard to capture the energy in the room but here you have part of my set from that event ot enjoy.   

As someone who has played  several leather themed events  (including the infamous "Black Party" at Roseland  NYC) you want to create a harder vibe-consistently peak while giving nods to some of the pioneers in male driven dance music like Frankie Goes to Hollywood , Depeche Mode, Dead or Alive,  and Bronksi Beat (just to name a few) .   Other black party references like "Hills of Katmandu" can be heard.  This part of my set contains alot of my private weapons (old and new), mixed together in a perfect blend of beats, sexy vocals, and hardcore basslines.

Had the absolute pleasure of being invited to play for the 25th Anniversary of SCORE at the M2 Club, Miami. What an amazing party it was, the M2 club was mind blowing and enjoyed every minute of it, very thankful for the opportunity to be part of this event.

This set has been re-recorded following the main floor set with a few extras thrown in which would've made the set given more time :D

Enjoy this set as much as i did playing it. To the team at Score/ Urge, all the friends who came to support & DJ's i haven't seen for years and got to catch up with. thank you all and look forward to returning to Miami sometime soon :D

SCORE - 25th Anniversary - MAIN FLOOR SET (M2 Club Miami - July 2023)

A lot of people ask me about my musical style. I understand it can be a bit confusing as I play different styles at different parties. I discovered house music and my love for the dance floor in the 90's when dj's like Junior Vasquez and Danny Tenaglia were resident dj's who played all night long. They took you on a journey from deep house like Ron Trent and Chez Damier, into house from MK and Cajmere, darker sounds from DJ Pierre and Xpress-2, and into big room anthems from Deborah Cox and Kristine W. All from one dj in one night. And my musical tastes have a similar range, but these days resident dj's have been replaced by guest dj's who play shorter sets and tend to stick more closely to one sound. What I try to do is bring the light and shade and range of my tastes to the party I'm playing. For Alegria- my job is to keep up the high energy joyful sound it's known for, while bringing my own style in and not just repeating what the previous dj's have done. I always take into account the style of the party and work within the boundaries I find as I play. In this mix you'll find my usual big room Alegria sound, as well as some house music, techno, vocals, beats, melodies, and always classics! Teasing tracks, building themes and creating drama. Oh yeah and that damn siren! Well again, clubs like Sound Factory or Pacha NYC used to have sirens in the club. You turned the siren on to make a peak moment even more exciting. I've carried that over with a sample of a classic house music siren. Enough talking. I hope you enjoy the mix. It was a lot of fun to be there!!
