The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

SKULLFELLAZ is a Warsaw DJ and producer. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Techenko crew. He is a talented self-taught artist, and his style is energetic, melodic and unique. He moves smoothly and continues to develop in various electronic genres, captivating crowds, regardless of whether he plays techhouse or hard techno. He has had the opportunity to play in clubs all over Poland, such as Smolna, Praga Centrum, Sfinx700, Crackhouse, NRD, STK47, Sixa, Kombinat and Luzztro. Outside Poland he has already had his debuts in Spanish Ibiza and Indonesian Bali.
SAINT PETER is a DJ and promoter based in Warsaw. Creator of the mésalliance series of events and co-creator of the Znamy się z Techno community. He is distinguished by incredible energy during performances, a unique style in selecting tracks based on diversity and great versatility. Behind the console, he likes to present an energetic mix of pumping groovy techno, hardgroove and hard techno, oscillating around 140-150 bpm. He regularly performs in many clubs and festivals throughout Poland.

PECTOR is a techno DJ based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. First being well known in various circles for his energetic and skilfully mixed sets on Soundcloud. He started playing in the underground technoscene in Amsterdam where he exposed his techno sound which resonates a thrilling and energetic vibe on the dancefloor.

It was a good friend who introduced him to technomusic and technoparty’s. That same friend owned two decks and a mixer at home and PECTOR was determined to master these machines. 
After recording his sets he was quickly found by the underground scene of Amsterdam where his career started. 

Pector his sets can be experienced as thriving, energetic, rolling with heavy but clean basslines.
