Pete J aka Toki was a familiar name in the midwest rave and club scene throughout the 90’s and early 00’s.   In 1997, Pete and Randy Kitchen aka DJ Echo (RIP) opened Virus Records in University City Missouri, - one of two record stores in St. Louis to exclusively specialize in hip-hop, electronic music and vinyl records.    During this time, Pete played at many of the city's and midwest's top nightclubs - Club Velvet, Deep Deep Cool, Club Fuel, The Monkey Bar, Babylon, Cheetah Nightclub, Lo, VooDoo, Pure Lounge (Columbia MO) and the Upstairs Lounge while opening for artists such as Bad Boy Bill (3x), James Christian (Nervous Records), Micro (Nervous Records/NYC), Chad Minddrive, Teri Bristol, Frankie Bones, Adam X, Angel Alanis, Terrence Parker, T-1000, DJ VooDoo, The East Coast Boogiemen and more. He was also a regular on the midwest rave circuit making regular appearances in Chicago, Kansas City and Indianapolis

In 2007,  Pete established Momentum Seoul, a group responsible for creating a series of successful events in Seoul's Hongdae and Itaewon nightlife districts.  During this time, Pete made regular appearances at Seoul's top nightclubs/lounges - Club Via, Club Cargo, Club Moksha, Joker Red, BricX and B1.  

Pete's DJing style incorporates relentless energy, technical mixing, slick transitions and old-school turntablist elements such as scratching and mixing tricks while playing a blend of bumping house beats, tech house and funky techno.
