welcome (back) to the interim.

this is unofficially titled "revision/01." it's a full remaster/update of the first "interim" project, primarily featuring an updated mix that i think better suits the project as a whole. it's been offline for years, and weirdly available only on apple music??? but it's finally back and sounds much more like an @gajoga project worthy of the @recreational-nostalgia label.

these songs were all made between 2015-16, with primary production happening in autumn 2016. the project kicked off a series of "interim" mixtape things that were supposed to be a stopgap between "days above" and my next record. in reality, because i01 originally had 8 songs, it was flagged as an album on all platforms, and i02 became a mix of several projects: a 2018 mixtape featuring some unreleased songs, a 2020 ep featuring some edits from that tape, and ultimately, the basis for "our time, together."

looking back, it was definitely a project that stemmed from a pretty depressive era in my life, and for some reason, i thought that i needed to put music out that maybe could express how i felt at the time. some songs were not my best work, and other songs felt too repetitive and needed more time in the oven. revision/01 looks to fix all that, but not as a deluxe edition, more as just an update. so this version has the same release date as the original, updated credits ("northside" was literally called "DADBOD4" in my DAW), and a version of "in bed, up late" that i just had to rework into something better.

because this originally was released in 2016, it predates @recreational-nostalgia by three years, and therefore isn't a numbered release.

Microvolt was run through the Pulsar 23. 

Pulsar 23 as a performance/de-centralized mixer is a concept I'm planning on exploring a lot more especially since its FX section is absolutely amazing.

Risen and Resurrected from the ashes after a 6 year hiatus, and returning to form in 2010, DJ PHOENIX first released a free album 'Free and Easy' in early 2010. Upon receiving many positive responses on the album, DJ Phoenix decided to put out a more focused electronica album and released it in late 2010 via iTunes and CD Baby called 'From Scratch EP'.

Not one to slow down and let momentum or opportunity slip past his fingers, DJ PHOENIX released a full length experimental album consisting of Electronica and Orchestra related songs in an album (March 2011) called 'Off The Grid. The response has been overwhelming and extremely positive as people have stated to have been able to hear a story and evolution of style from the 1st album to the 3rd.'

Since then DJ PHOENIX has released a variety of albums, and has gained a massive following. 

DJ PHOENIX has spent years fine-tuning his winning formula in the only way he knows how, by feeling the vibe at some of the most popular DJ shows in the world, and then dispensing musical epiphanies whenever he creates a song.

Simply unstoppable, now is the rise of the PHOENIX, bringing you an energy that is totally, and uniquely, full of fire.
