This is a new oscillator. It is given a limited number of points to work from and interpolates the "in between" samples. I have called it Band Limited X Y oscillator for now (BLiXY) 

This is 1 track of DoT sequenced by Cirklon, with VPME.DE QD drums and 4MS DLD. (counts as 3 module challenge, right?)

Both oscillators are set to BLiXY and i step through some of the wave data selections. the time and space parameters of each one are modulated by BPM synced LFOs and envelopes. (plus manual wiggling)

No internal or external filters were used at all, only a delay.

“Everything For A Reason” is the new single from super-talented singer, songwriter and DnB producer TC (aka Tom Casswell), his first since signing to 3 Beat. Written, sung and performed by TC, the track was mixed alongside Neil McLennan, best known for his work with The Prodigy. 

“Everything For A Reason” will make its debut on Radio 1 as Zane Lowe’s ‘Future Exclusive’. TC first grabbed mainstream attention with “Get Down Low”, a massive club mover that became a festival anthem in 2013 and was released in December of that year via Skrillex’s OWSLA label. Zane Lowe made the track his ‘Hottest Record’, 1Xtra hammered it and Radio 1 play-listed it.
  
That success was followed with “Make U Bounce” a song that TC wrote for DJ Fresh that featured Little Nikki. “Make U Bounce” made the A-list playlist at Capital FM, Radio 1 and 1Xtra and gave TC his first Top 10 hit in the UK. 

TC is also the go to remix talent for artists as diverse as Rihanna, Example, Cee Lo Green, Tinie Tempah, Daft Punk, Duke Dumont, Julio Bashmore and Disclosure. He’s also collaborated with Sub-Focus and Pendulum. Most recently, TC has remixed Jess Glynne’s solo debut hit “Right Here” and supported Zomboy on his US tour.

One of my most personal mixes. For this one I really tried to go outside the box conceptually - who would have thought to do a fantasy role-playing themed drum and bass mix? Having been a life long Dungeons and Dragons fan, I thought it would be cool to basically let everyone know that I was into role-playing games. And for the intro I was able to lock down the voice of Optimus Prime himself Peter Cullen! During the recording process I was patched into his headphones when he was in the studio and was even able to direct him. It wasn't until later that I discovered he had voiced the character of Venger on the 80's cartoon series Dungeons and Dragons. Awesome! The artwork was once again handled by the legendary Akira Takahashi. One of the coolest parts of the art is the reoccurring image of a dragon which is an exact copy of the dragon tattoo on my back. I always thought Akira was very clever to incorporate that image so deeply throughout the design. Though you cannot see it here, I spent a lot of time working on the liner notes so that they kind of read like stuff you would find in Dungeons and Dragons rulebooks. One of the coolest things about this project was being able to get remixes made of popular non-dnb artists like Tiësto, Sasha, Josh Wink and BT. It really sort of pushed this thing over the top at the time. Finally there is something that needs to be said about one of the tracks on here. The Paul B + Subwave remix isn't of the Tiësto tune "Flight 643". It is a remix of his track "Lethal Industry". I can't remember why this happened in the first place, but there you go! Enjoy :)

The Dungeonmaster's Guide

I spent some quality time with Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms modular system and multitracked a little jam into Ableton. I wanted to try what I could come up with using just that synth as the sound source.  Mixing effects such as EQ, dynamics, reverbs and delays have been used as I plain and simple just wanted to make music instead of a dry demo.

I do a little bit of everything. Recently, I've been developing Eurorack firmware as a distraction from making music with it. ;)

I once produced a whole song about Tetris, by sampling the actual Gameboy music. I beatboxed and sang in a collegiate a cappella group. I’ve mixed and mastered countless tracks for aspiring artists. I occasionally play dance music at events around Grand Rapids. I also entertain at wedding receptions, and a variety of things in between. I've been designing sounds with my voice/mouth my entire life, with software since high school, and with modular hardware since November 2020.
