Mixed Methods - Take Me Back

Having produced Mylo’s platinum-album “Destroy Rock’n’Roll”, Kevin McKay is no stranger to Indie Dance. So, when labels like Maccabi House and Diynamic started populating that genre with a new turbo-charged version of the sound, he was all over it. Next came an offer from Columbian producer Hever Jara with a vocal and synth hook that was just dying to be given the post-punk bass treatments. Add in some live drums and a killer kick and we have “Disco Bobby”, a prime-time slice of heavyweight tackle.

This is a special track for me, Yuli is one of my best friends little baby girl.
I recorded her when we shared a trip together to Thailand a few months ago and I used her vocals all around the track and tried to bring her fun and crazy character in to the music.
