With releases already under his belt on Hot Creations, Culprit, Get Physical, Objektivity, Noir Music, Defected, (the list goes on) - DJ Le Roi is certainly one to watch in 2015, and January sees him launching into the New Year with three original tracks for VIVa MUSiC; ‘My Mind’, ‘Mont Blanc’, and ‘Future’.

On the flip Flashmob - whose bootleg series and releases on the likes of Get Physical, Defected, and OFF have earned them space in the crates of tastemakers worldwide - provide a stripped back reinterpretation of ‘Future’, extracting the main elements of the track and casting them in hypnotic new territory.

DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Producer of 2014 Josh Butler takes ‘Future’ in a different direction , introducing dreamy chords that add calming counterpoint to the sinister undertones present throughout the original mix.

Previous releases from DJ Le Roi have found support from Steve Lawler, Jamie Jones, Noir, Joris Voorn, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Nick Curly, Jimpster, and Luke Solomon.

Pleasurekraft return to Drumcode on remix duties after a 2 year hiatus with all engines on the Cosmic Techno ship firing.  Big-room atmospheric drums and an infectious call and response hook intertwine with Green Velvet's otherworldly vocals to produce a new highly visceral and steroid injected version of the original.  The "Space Date" remix marks the sixth collaboration between the seminal purveyors of the Cosmic Techno sub-genre, Pleasurekraft, and Chicago's iconic dance music pioneer Green Velvet. 

The remix initially came about after Drumcode head Adam Beyer heard Pleasurekraft's "Welcome to the Universe" EP [Kraftek] at the end of 2018.  A huge supporter of the Swedish/American production duo, Adam felt so inspired by the whole EP, especially "Main Sequence" that the opportunity for Pleasurekraft to take their love of all things space related lent itself naturally to the thematic elements in Green Velvet's vocals. 

The track's spine is built around a hypnotic groove that is anchored to a single word from the original's vocals : "ecstasy" and slowly builds to the first climax of the record where the listener finally hears Green Velvet's vocals in full for the first time.  However it isn't until the second break of the track that the power of the remix is finally unsheathed, resetting the groove and building up to a second swell featuring a duo of call and response melodies between the lead hook and a lower end bass that takes the intensity of the track up another notch - ultimately culminating in complete silence that gives way to the remix's original heartbeat and repeating mantra: "ecstasy". 

Taking over a month of studio time to complete, it was road tested for the first time at Pleasurekraft's Fabric London gig, where there was no shortage of inquiries as to the ID of the record.  This soon became a repeating theme after Adam Beyer first included it on DCR446 and played it during both of his Ultra Miami (Resistance) sets, including his closing b2b set with Maceo Plex who loved the track so much he proceeded to get his own copy and play it during his own solo set one week later at Time Warp in Germany.  

Multiple clips of the remix have already gone viral on various social media and blog outlets, with no shortage of fans waiting anxiously for the June 24 release date on Adam Beyer's own Drumcode Records. In Adam Beyer's own words, Pleasurekraft are "setting new standards" with their continued foray into the Cosmic Techno sub-genre they continue to define.

Finnish DJ and producer Yotto has become an Anjunadeep legend since making his debut on the label in 2015. Winning huge support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Danny Howard, Otto Yliperttula quickly rose to prominence with his energetic melodic house sound. His debut album ‘Hyperfall’, released in late 2018 reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance Album Chart, and saw him tour the world and play at Coachella. Since then Yotto has established his own label, Odd One Out, putting out a string of club cuts supported by the likes of Tale Of Us, Artbat and Eric Prydz.

Over a year since his last solo release on Anjunadeep, Yotto now makes a welcome homecoming with ‘Another Riff For The Good Times / Daydreaming’. Demonstrating his flair with uplifting melodies, ‘ARFTGT’ is classic Yotto, whilst the restrained ‘Daydreaming’ is a highlight from the recent chart topping compilation ‘Anjunadeep 11’.
