PRESTON PROGRESSION #1 - 'The Years' Volume 1

HEY BOOTLEGGERS, FANS, LISTENERS & FOLLOWERS!!! Welcome to my Music Domain - DjPRESTON!!!

I thought it was about time to Share with you Guys a bit about My Djing, some of my Influences in EDM & Finally 'My Destination' a Journey Unknown... 
Being a Self-Taught DJ with no Musical Background at all I’m fairly happy with how I’ve progressed over the last 3 Years. But there's still Shitloads more to be Learnt. 
My First real Memory of EDM wasn’t until 2002 when I came across a CD by a dude named TIESTO. At the time I hadn’t even herd of the Dude. Not giving a Fuck about that at the time I took a punt and bought his CD - Live in Amsterdam 1999 Vol.7 of his Blackhole Recording Series. The Mix was exactly what I was looking for. From then til now, 12 years on, I haven’t heard or seen a Compilation from any Artist that comes close to it! It really is a Prime example of the Dance Music Genre but more so it's sub-genre TRANCE!  Majik #7 as well as TIESTO - Live at Energy 2000, a Live Set recorded NYE of the Millenium was another Brilliant Set from a Pioneering Legend of Dance Music Leading The Way in the Evolution of EDM to today's Modern day  EDM we all know and Love. 

10 years passed and my obsession for EMD (still heavily revolving around Trance & Hard Trance) was still as strong as ever. 
In 2010 in noticed CDJ’s were becoming fairly cheap to buy so I decided to buy my first set of Wheels, Pioneer CDJ 1000Mkiii and a Shitheap 2 channel mixer. It took until the end of that Year to Grasp the Basics of Djing; Beat-Gridding, the Importance of the Key, Cue Point Entry & Setting, Crossfading/Volume Fading and all the Rest of the Boring-as-BatShit Basics. After Persisting for a Month I found My Style! After buying multiple tracks It only took a short time to be able to build a set from start to finish, positioning tracks as best I could thinking that it was a core fundamental to build energy thru correct track position in a Set - 'STILL WORKING ON THIS BY THE WAY'!!! Ultimately what I wanted to achieve 'Straight Up' was a  Recording which would be Quality enough to produce to CD.
From the Creation of my first Recording til now I have recorded Mixes from different Genres and continue to adapt new styles and approaches. 'UPGRADING MY GEAR WOULD PROBABLY HELP' but atm, It ain't an Option. 

The Modern Day ‘MASH-UP’ ain’t my thing!!! AND 'SHITSTEP' or 'DUBSTEP' as most people would Lable It - AIN’T FUKN MUSIC…… Dubstep’s Fukn Noise – Not Music! You Got That?!?!!!!

DjPRESTON & FUTURE PRODUCTION; Currently I’m working on Building my own Craft and very close to enrolling in a Music Production Course at Uni. As it Stands, It’s taking Shitloads more time than Expected so the extra Help at Uni probably wouldn't Hurt.
