I’m a Dj in UK and I was born in Mozambique but grew up in Portugal. I’ve always loved music for as long as I can remember. My brothers also had quite a passion for it so I imagine that’s where it would have started. I remember really getting into it at the age of 13 or so. I manage to get hold of one of my brother’s old Nuwnark dual CD player with a mixer and started messing about and experimenting with it.
I did a lot of research, took any advice possible, and slowly started to teach myself on how to use the equipment. At that time I  love the Classic Dance music such as Grove Armada , Mojo and Starlight.


I moved to Kelso in the Scottish Borders in 2007 and had a family. It was then I decided that I was at the stage in my life where I could really start to push things forward with making being a DJ as career. I had my first gig at Charlies in Berwick-upon-Tweed and I ended up with a residency there for over 2 years. I still go and play there when I have the opportunity.
 
Bookings started coming in as word got out that I was working as a DJ. I would take anything from big birthday parties and weddings to DJ-ing at local Borders events, Clubs and Bars.
 
When I DJ, I like to really interact with the crowd, I’m incredibly passionate and enthusiastic. I love to be able to really get people going and enjoying themselves. I would say my favourite type of music is Electronic Dance Music (House, Future House, Classic Dance and Classic Hard Core), but to be perfectly honest, I love a full range of genres of music. For the majority of the events I’m playing at I will mix between EDM, recent Chart through to Classic
Chart. It really depends what the guests are wanting and, I like to think, I can read the crowd and be able to swap through the genres to suite what people are wanting and enjoying.
