This next Toy Tonics EP takes one more step into a futuristic sound that connects Broken Beat, House & Neo Soul.
The EP was produced by Fényan. France based dancer and producer (originally from Martinique) who hooked up with Kosmo Kint.  Soul singer raised in New York and since one year part of The Toy Tonics crew in Berlin.

Fényan & Kosmo Kint met shortly after Kosmo Kint's first release on Toy Tonics (the „Get Lost“ EP with french producer Mangabey). Together they created three magic sparkling pieces of music. A unique sound inspired by the UK Jazz sound and the broken beat scene. A great further step in the evolution of uptempo Neo Soul dancemusic.

Fényan's rhythms are special. The groove is unique. This music makes you dance differently. No wonder as Fényan (his real name is Kwame)  is a professional dancer. 
He is travelling around the world teaching dancing with his own dance company and is a judge on international dance battles. Besides dancing, he has been producing beats since the age of 19 on his MPC. Influenced by the great names of deep jazz and fusion, but also inspired by the music from his origin Martinqiue: Zouk, Biguine, Bélè… you can feel this in the programming of his beats.

Besides the MPC Fényan tried many instruments, but mainly it’s the keyboards and the trumpet what he feels well with intuitively.
Kosmo Kint lives in Berlin for three years. He came from NYC where he was singing in Soul bands, hanging out with musicians and also writing songs for other artists. He is one of the many artists that moved from the big apple to Berlin recently. He joined the Toy Tonics crew almost 2 years ago to work on new styles between House and Soul. Disco and R&B. In fact there is a big movement of international top musicians coming to the German capital. It's not just DJs in Berlin. But a huge community of ex-pad musicians working on all kind of styles. Mixing the European electronic dancefloor music with all kinds of vibes and influences. And many of these musicians find a new home on Toy Tonics records.

Local Talk is a Swedish label known globally as a trusted source of timeless House music with influences from Jazz, Funk and Soul.
Whether jacking, raw or deep, each release is compiled with care and attention to detail, and one of the things that binds them together is an honesty that doesn’t follow a fashion and hype.
Working closely with artists including HNNY, Kyodai, Art Of Tones and Crackazat to mention just a few, the label has played a large role in many a success story. Last year Local Talk had its fifth birthday, but its strict parents Mad Mats and Tooli wanted to give their child a lesson in patience and said it couldn’t open its presents or invite its friends round for a party until 2017. Now 2017 has arrived, Local Talk is actually five and a half, but the celebrations can finally begin and this 5 ½ years compilation is the big present that has been causing all the excitement. Eagerly unwrapped, this LP does not disappoint. Once the paper is removed, the contents include a special ten track release, which showcases unreleased tracks from the labels close-knit group of family and friends. Family friends Art of Tones opens the release with an outstanding track, that full of birthday wishes and Jazz undertones kicks off the birthday party. Uncles, cousins and well-wishers from across the globe all drop in to join the shindig.
Many of the artists who feature on this release have been involved with the label since its conception. Those making their debut have been long time supporters, contributing musical gifts to mark the labels coming of age, plus show their continued support for the years to come as Local Talk continues to grow and mature.

@Sunlightsquare’s first single of 2017, Oyelo, is a mixture of Jazz, Cuban and House music in its most authentic form. Starting with moody latin-jazz piano and sun-drenched live percussion played by master percussionist Giovanni Imparato, the track is driven by the classic house beat of the TR-909 - the legendary 1980's drum machine. Ronnie Scott’s resident Cuban singer Rene Alvarezdelivers the impassioned vocals, followed by the main man Claudio Passavanti’s heated Montuno piano riffs, which combine seamlessly to create a blissful, dance-floor experience. Copenhagen's Dorsi Plantar makes his return to Better Listen Records following last year’s springtime favorite, 'Everlast', with his latest work titled the 'Tack Farsan' EP, which features the smooth jazz house cut 'Besitos'.

As the label describes: "'Tack Farsan' is a balanced sample-driven EP intended to milk the last of summer’s flavors for the dancefloor’s enjoyment. The top side hosts sunny disco affairs in the release’s title track, and a polished collab with label mate Sune. The logo side, on the other hand, explodes into deeper, latin ventures."

The 'Tack Farsan' EP is set for release October 12.
