@pele-ray: Yea, I took a lot of acid when I was making this. Almost overdosed, and decided to release it before I died.

This is the start of a new chapter for ya boy!

In the middle of last year to the beginning of this year, I really wanted to reconnect with myself and my music after two years of straight hustling, releasing, playing shows - I felt like I had evolved but my music hadn't kept up with the parts of me that had changed. I wasn't looking forward to my releases, wasn't enjoying the shows I'd play and really just felt like I was trying to continue to play a part that hadn't kept up with the parts of me that had grown.

I had to take a step back and not only remember why I started doing this in the first place, but also ask myself what I had to change if I really wanted to keep going for my dreams, because some part of me had changed.

I really couldn't figure out what was causing a lot of stress, anxiety, sadness, and confusion until I literally forced myself to stop - pausing everything from the social media and the shows to listening to music and the music making. 6 months of depression, soul searching, processing, relearning, and questioning why I even did this.

So I took myself back to the music that made me fall in love with bass house and bass music - at music festivals when I started going in 2016, you'd hear these big melodic chords during the breaks with hard drops where you'd go from emotional to raging and feel every feeling under the spectrum and had a safe space to just enjoy the music, be a part of something bigger, and be accepted for whoever you were.

"YOU & I" is the product of that reconnection of the boy who was in the crowds to the rockstar I am now, and the start of the next chapter to ya boy flynninho. 

So excited for the music I have dropping this year - much love to all those who are creating my dreams into a reality with me, I love you!
