Q. Why did you get the name QuickSand? 

A. I was given the name Quicksand because of the way that people feel when they listen to my music. My style consists of bringing the energy up with my song choices, and then bringing you back down in energy level for more chill vibe.

Was very fortunate to have attended some incredible events during the early 2000s, including mind over matter at the late camden palace and our local night, Megabyte, Southend.

Still buying old vinyl, looking for bits I missed back in the day, especially the b-sides and the tunes I overlooked at the time.

Favorite Producers: Eufex, Banga Matt, Nick Sentience, Daniel Ro, BK, Ilogik, Ingo, OD404, Jon Doe, Lab 4, Captain Tinrib, Signum, Ben Stevens, Wayne Smart.

I've loved Hard House since 2000 when I first found Megabyte, an amazing event with great DJs, a unique sound, and awesome people.

Most styles of Hard House get me stompin, but I find real joy from that bouncy, fun, happy 'megabyte' sound. My mixes tend to favour that, although I can't resist some female vocals, trancey breakdown, or a thumping bass line 🙌🏻. 

I really enjoy mixing longer transitions, where one tune blends so well with another it creates a unique sound; making it hard to tell where one tune stops and another starts!

Massive influence from the peroxide, 12inch thumpers, shock and cheeky trax labels back in the day; yet also with the Joe Longbottom, Wayne German, Nikkdbubble, Dexitron and Dan Diamond sound currently in my tune selections.

Benjamin Smalls, a Florida native as known as Benzmixer. He has been producing since 2009. Started producing dubstep in early 2010. He has always striven to bring something new to the table. While living in
Orlando Florida, Benz teamed up with Bryzergold (Popular DJ In Orlando) & (PBRG) to bring a power packed old-school revolution to FL & hopefully the rest of the states. Joined Savage Society in early 2013, and later signed to (Lowr Levls, ArcaneTalent, Gravedancer), this 29-year-old gets his inspiration from men like, Subfiltronik, Dot Rotten, Akira, Hizzleguy, and Swifta Beater. 
Now recently left Savage Society early 2019, and started a new collective called 4th Sphere with Recurve and started making well more hyrbid end melodic tracks! He harnesses his creative skills to conjure a prominent assault of melodic riddems that rattle your chest with sub-bass. Active support from the likes of, Subfiltronik, Ayonikz, Shiverz, Ubur, Yakz, Da Force & many more, benz is one cutting-edge artist you will want to look out for.
