    Nicquin Adams aka DJ Quin is a Cape Town House DJ. He first came in contact with turntables at the age of 16, 2006 and when his hands touched the decks, it was a match made in heaven. He instantly fell in love with the art of DJing. His preferred style is versatile and includes such genres as deep, funky, tech and electro house. His sets take you on a musical journey, telling a story through the music.

     

    DJ Quin's influences include Laidback Luke, Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Inland Knights, Kings of Tomorrow, Erik Morillo and other pioneers of house music. He has performed at a myriad of Cape Town's finest clubs including Tantra, Mercury Live, Bunker 9 and Thumbs Up, in Stellenbosch. He has also shared the stage with the likes of Nick Pereira (Rude World Records), Luwayne Wonder(GHFM), Mic Turner (GHFM) and Tyrone Paulsen (GHFM).

     

    In 2010, he participated in the Young Gun DJ Search, placing second overall and played the opening set for, international act, Lucky Bastard (UK). In 2011 he was featured on Goodhope FM as a Guest DJ on "The 411".

     

    In his spare time, Nicquin also produces music under the alias That Kid Quin. His recent works include "Blanc Que Le Neige" and "To Your Love," both original tracks released on Soundcloud earlier this year. He is currently the Resident Student DJ at the Tygerberg Medical Campus (Stellenbosch University) where he is also studying towards a medical degree (MB,ChB).
