Playing around with my new bass, recorded two bass tracks that sounded nice together, then added other elements in Reason. Samples of AvE, Concerto, Llamas with Hats, Sering Thiapathioly, Rick Sanchez, Jasmine Martinez, Sesame Street, me and my friend Chris, and of course ... Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Into The Funk

I always wanted to do a track with these samples.  Kung Fu was maybe the most important media I consumed as a child.  That show meant the world to me.

039 The New Student (2018-12-15)

The 2015 version is one of my other tracks on this account. I wrote the guitars and music, my friend Chris did the drums. Secret Shiv is an anagram of our names. 

Didn't realize the sub D would be too low to master properly, but it's there - you can hear it at the end of the song. I sacrificed volume to preserve the sub as best I could.  Turn up your volume to make up for it!

Just realized I'd forgotten to upload the full and completed track.  That's me on guitar and my friend Chris (aka Plague) on the drums. I come up with the music, Chris handles the drums and programming.

There were two versions of this song released.  The Scratch-D Vs. H-Bomb version had that nasty distorted bass I loved so much, but there were elements of the Infiniti version I liked too. I had such a hard time choosing which to play.  One day I decided to try and mix them together, get the best of both worlds.  This was the result.

Thought I'd upload the fourth track Chris and I did.  This one's my second favorite, after Sins.  Starts out slow, almost hypnotic, and builds.  I take the first solo and Chris takes the second.  There's a little hidden surprise in there, too.
