Something very special for me at the turn of the year... My son wanted to make some music with me for the first time. The result was a special DJ set. We had a lot of fun and hope you can hear it too. We'll just call it "THE FIRST" and see what happens. So it might be worth a listen!?!?!?!?!?!! Proud Dad.

Zum Jahreswechsel  kommt noch mal was ganz besonderes für mich... Mein Sohn wollte das erste Mal von sich aus mit mir ein wenig Musik machen. Herausgekommen ist dabei ein spezielles DJ Set. Last weekend I played a 4-hour set in front of a real-life audience for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis and it felt awesome! Me and my 30 person strong audience had been craving for a club night out with dance music and that substantially increased our shared experience :).

Since the guidelines of the Dutch government momentarily only allow 30 visitors with reserved seats to public events, I figured I'd change things up a little with this set.. For an intimate setting like this I prepared a Deep House 'concert', inspired by Antonio Vivaldi and his work 'The Four Seasons'. I divided the four hours playtime I was given into four seasons (starting with Spring and ending with Winter) and selected tracks that I associate with the corresponding seasons. If this concept does not make any sense, I hope that you will nevertheless enjoy this 4-hour mix of my favourite Deep House music!

This event was hosted by club @radionamsterdam, is made possible by the @houseofchi Collective and was streamed live on Quarantine Radio. Enjoy!

Biography:


Rayco Santos, DJ, label owner and producer. Renowned for his storytelling sets and his carefully selected, elegant sound, Rayco never fails to submerse his listeners in a beautifully progressive, deep-house trance.


Built on years of experience and respected for staying true to his sound, with over 1 million plays on Soundcloud, Rayco has oficially managed to create a musical-realm of his own. Rayco’s sessions are filled with exquisite melodies and harmonising vocals, equally suited to night time as they are for sunrise or sunset sets.


Since the early 90’s, Rayco has divided his time behind the decks and recording in the studio. In November 2011 Rayco released his first podcast, Ready To Be Chilled, a podcast globally renowned for its relaxing take on the classic dance floor scene, a fusion of Deep-house, Downtempo and Nu Disco. 


Over time the popularity of the podcast on social networks skyrocketed and it wasn’t long before national and international radio stations began streaming RTBC on a weekly basis. 


Following the success of his podcast, in 2013 Rayco ceased the opportunity to become co-owner of Be Adult Music (previously Adult Music) and it’s been non-stop for the label ever since, signing various artists and soaring to the top of the charts on many digital stores such as Traxsource, ITunes and Beatport. 


Travelling on a regular basis to headline events around the world in; Egypt, Belgium, Tunisia, Barcelona, Austria, Formentera, Mallorca, Marbella, Tenerife and Italy, Ibiza is where is where Rayco has found his summer base and weekly residencies in many Ibicencan hotspots.
