Sunsets -321- Meets Carlos Chávez

Alex Forever was created by Alex Kentucky, and today I, Rayco Santos, continue his legacy on POWERFM Turkey with the same respect and intention: keeping his sound alive. His taste, his direction and his musical vision remain the foundation of this podcast.

This first part moves through a deeper, more introspective groove. Grandbrothers open with a cinematic touch before sliding into the darker vibe of Pigsie & DJ Jauche. Quiet Village bring that cool, laid-back vocal energy, followed by Mallin and Atley Bestoren adding a smoother lift. The Organism and Marco Bocatto keep things warm and rolling, while Booka Shade and Lucas Pierre push the set into a more melodic, driving zone. Hannes Bieger and dOP add their trademark textures, and Luke Garcia closes with a clean, atmospheric finish.

This second part keeps the same elegant line but pushes a bit more colour into the mix. El Mundo & Zazou open with a warm, dreamy touch before sliding into the classic depth of Fish Go Deep and the spaced-out groove of Kutiman’s Mita Gami remix. Yamil and Samer Soltan bring that organic lift, while Phonique’s collab with Erlend Øye adds a smooth vocal edge. Birds of Mind deliver their signature texture on Kostasis, Chicola goes introspective as always, and Golden Hour keeps the mood floating. The Sebastien Léger remix of “The Wave” gives the final push, with Noon Do closing things off on a crisp, modern note.

Biography:


Rayco Santos, DJ, label owner and producer. Renowned for his storytelling sets and his carefully selected, elegant sound, Rayco never fails to submerse his listeners in a beautifully progressive, deep-house trance.


Built on years of experience and respected for staying true to his sound, with over 1 million plays on Soundcloud, Rayco has oficially managed to create a musical-realm of his own. Rayco’s sessions are filled with exquisite melodies and harmonising vocals, equally suited to night time as they are for sunrise or sunset sets.


Since the early 90’s, Rayco has divided his time behind the decks and recording in the studio. In November 2011 Rayco released his first podcast, Ready To Be Chilled, a podcast globally renowned for its relaxing take on the classic dance floor scene, a fusion of Deep-house, Downtempo and Nu Disco. 


Over time the popularity of the podcast on social networks skyrocketed and it wasn’t long before national and international radio stations began streaming RTBC on a weekly basis. 


Following the success of his podcast, in 2013 Rayco ceased the opportunity to become co-owner of Be Adult Music (previously Adult Music) and it’s been non-stop for the label ever since, signing various artists and soaring to the top of the charts on many digital stores such as Traxsource, ITunes and Beatport. 


Travelling on a regular basis to headline events around the world in; Egypt, Belgium, Tunisia, Barcelona, Austria, Formentera, Mallorca, Marbella, Tenerife and Italy, Ibiza is where is where Rayco has found his summer base and weekly residencies in many Ibicencan hotspots.
