From the new Sebastian Mullaert EP released on Josh Wink's OVUM Recordings on June 30, 2014.
I made Chant de Paris the day before my first solo live show at the club showcase in Paris, hence the name for the track and EP.

Over the last 17 years, Sebastian Mullaert has had a long and distinguished career as one half of hardware experimentalist duo Minilogue, with releases on Cocoon, Wagon Repair and Crosstown Rebels. Now opting to focus more on solo endeavors, he hits the ground running with his sublime Ovum debut. Clocking in at a hefty 16 minutes in length, the title track is a heady excursion which flirts with reverb-drenched ouds and meandering keyboard scales, conveying an air of Arabic mystique. An array of acidic synths move in and out of focus, whilst skittering hi-hats and ride cymbals slowly build upon rafts of kinetic energy, all programmed with a deft, organic touch.In an impressive display of versatility, Mullaert promptly flips the vibe from Berlin basement to Ibiza sunset with Recapturing the Radical Self. It starts off similarly enough, with brooding 303 squelches and sharp claps, but slowly ascends into a state of full-on Balearic bliss. Hey everyone, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve uploaded a live recording, so I’m happy to share with you 3hrs from a recent Sunday at Sisyphos Wintergarten. It should come as no surprise that most of the live recordings I share are from this club — it’s where I can play most freely and be 100% myself. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some of my close friends and favorite people that day, which always makes things all the more special. I hope you enjoy listening back ❤️.

For its first release of 2010, Ai revisits Sinner DC’s Crystallized long player from last year. The Crystal EP is a digital only release that ups the dancefloor quota of many of the originals whilst simultaneously managing to maintain the laidback vibe that made Sinner DC’s own versions so suited to headphone listening.

All of the six remixers were handpicked by Sinner DC and are all appearing on Ai for the first time. With each new producer delivering a fresh and unique re-interpretation of the source material, the overall result is fresh and exciting whilst still being true in spirit to the original release.
