The Storm I Had To Be

Ezra's Burden emerged from the vibrant Florida music scene in 2022, led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Josh Alexander. Drawing from the sunshine state's rich history of producing influential alternative rock and punk acts, Alexander has crafted a distinctive sound that blends the melodic sensibilities of pop punk with the raw intensity of hardcore—a style often referred to as "easycore."

Alexander, who handles vocals, guitars, and production duties, founded Ezra's Burden after years of playing in various local bands across Florida's diverse music circuits. Having mastered multiple instruments through his musical journey, Alexander brings a comprehensive understanding of arrangement and composition to the project, allowing him to create the dynamic sonic landscapes that have become Ezra's Burden's signature.

"The name 'Ezra's Burden' came from this idea that we all carry something heavy, but that weight can also make us stronger," explains Alexander. "A burden doesn't have to crush you—it can build you up if you learn how to carry it right."

This philosophy permeates throughout the band's catalog, from their energetic debut album "Shoulders of Giants" to their breakthrough singles "Suffocate" and "Built For This." Ezra's Burden's music resonates with listeners through its combination of cathartic breakdowns, infectious hooks, and lyrics that explore themes of resilience, personal struggle, and ultimate triumph.

Now based in Arkansas, on stage, Alexander is joined by a rotating collective of talented musicians from the Arkansas scene, creating a powerful live experience that has quickly earned Ezra's Burden a dedicated following. Their performances are characterized by raw energy and emotional intensity, with Alexander's commanding stage presence serving as the gravitational center.
