Viels nació en una pequeña ciudad a las afueras de Milán (Italia). A principios de su adolescencia descubrió la cultura techno inspirado por un libro llamado "TECHNO" de Christian Zingales. Habiendo lanzado su primer Ep en Initial Berlín en 2015, Viels continuó su camino musical apareciendo con un track en el respetado sello holandés Dynamic Reflection, seguido de su ep debut "Distrophism" y contribuyendo para el 10 aniversario del sello, entre algunos de los artistas más reconocidos de la escena : Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker, Shifted, Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Ness, Jeroen Search y muchos más.

Co-propietario con Francesco della Sala de "End Of Perception", Viels acaba de publicar en sellos como Warm Up, Non Series y Semantica Records y pronto aparecerá de nuevo en Dynamic Reflection, Mord Records y Attic.

Actualmente es residente de la fiesta Acquario en Milano y parte activa de la organización de la misma.

Con un interés creciente y habiendo actuado en clubs de calidad como Tresor, Perron, Cassette, Schron y compartido cabina con gente como Oscar Mulero, Svreca y Dasha Rush por nombrar algunos, Viels se está estableciendo como parte de una nueva ola de djs y productores que se acercan a la escena techno contemporánea.

Class 1990, Viels was born in a little city outside Milan (Italy). Early in his adolescence he discovered techno culture inspired by a book called “TECHNO“ by Christian Zingales. Having released his first Ep on Initial Berlin in 2015, Viels continued his musical path appearing with a track on the well respected dutch imprint Dynamic Reflection, followed by his debut ep “Distrophism” and contributing for the 10 years anniversary of the label, among some of the most recognised artists in the scene : Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker, Shifted, Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Ness, Jeroen Search and many more.
Co-owner with Francesco della Sala of “End Of Perception”, Viels just released on label such Warm Up, Non Series and Semantica Records and it will appear soon again on Dynamic Reflection, Mord Records and Attic.
At the moment he is resident of the Acquario party in Milano and an active part of the organization of it.
With an increasing interest and having performed in quality clubs like Tresor, Perron, Cassette, Schron and shared the booth with the likes of Oscar Mulero, Svreca and Dasha Rush to name a few, Viels is establishing himself as part of a new wave of djs and producers approaching the contemporary techno scene.

Felipe Riquelme aka Nothofagus RS, based in Villarrica, Chile. He begins his career as a DJ in mid-2022, experimenting with different sounds.
 
It is at the beginning of 2023 where he defines his musical style focused on deep and hypnotic techno, developing a dense, dark, electric and energetic sound, thus generating an infinite number of sensations in his DJ set.
In his brief artistic career, he has performed in renowned production companies in the area such as Black Spot & Technoise.
 
He is currently taking his first steps in the world of music production.

Felipe Riquelme aka Nothofagus RS, radicado en Villarrica, Chile. Comienza su carrera como DJ a mediados del año 2022, experimentando en distintos sonidos.

[ES] A pesar de que es relativamente nuevo en la escena techno contemporánea, Mahk Rumbae - el productor, inglés de nacimiento y residente en Viena, detrás de Codex Empire - 
ha estado creando música experimental durante los últimos 25 años siendo parte de la banda industrial/experimental Konstruktivists además de una gran variedad de proyectos 
paralelos en solitario.

Combinando este amplio conocimiento en la producción de música electronica especialmente oscura con elementos percusivos de deje industrial, hacen de Codex Empire toda una 
experiencia tanto en directo como simplemente disfrutando de sus producciones. Sus apariciones son siempre en formato directo, no como DJ, y ha actuado en lugares como 
Fondation Sonore en Bruselas, MaschineRaum en Viena, varias ciudades de Suiza como invitado especial de The Soft Moon y muchas otras en Berlin como en Arena Club, 
Suicide Circus, Berghain o Boiler Room. 

Hasta la fecha ha publicado dos EPs muy bien recibidos por la critica en el sello aufnahme+wiedergabe y ha remezclado The Soft Moon para su álbum Deeper Remixed. Ya hay 
publicaciones en camino como un EP para Leyla Records, un remix para Konsumer en Nachstrom Schallplatten y un remix para Veil Of Light en aufnahme+wiedergabe. 

Codex Empire nos ofrece este podcast en exclusiva como previo a su directo del próximo sábado 15 de octubre, en la Sala Siroco, Madrid. Disfruten!

[EN] Although a relative newcomer to the contemporary techno scene, Mahk Rumbae - the British born and Vienna based producer behind Codex Empire - has been creating challenging 
experimental electronic music for 25 years working as one half of industrial/ experimental band Konstruktivists as well as a raft of varied solo and side-projects. 

Combining this background in dark electronic music with heavy rhythmic elements makes Codex Empire an intense and simultaneously danceable experience both live and on record. 
Appearing only as a live act, not as a DJ, Codex Empire has performed at Fondation Sonore in Brussels, MaschinenRaum in Vienna, several cities in Switzerland as special guest 
of The Soft Moon, and numerous appearances in Berlin at Arena Club, Suicide Circus, Berghain and Boiler Room. 

Codex Empire has released two well received EPs on aufnahme+wiedergabe, and have remixed The Soft Moon for their Deeper Remixed LP. Forthcoming releases include an EP on Leyla
Records, a Konsumer remix on Nachtstrom Schallplatten, and a Veil of Light remix on aufnahme+wiedergabe. 

Codex Empire delivers us this exclusive podcast as a introduction to his live act next October 15th, at Siroco Club, Madrid. Enjoy it!
