Satisfaction (Rich Mundy DUB Mash)

Heralding from San Jose, California, Rich Mundy was brought up on a diverse cocktail of musical influences from West Coast Rock, Soul, Big Band and what drew him behind the turntables originally, Hip Hop. Having honed his superb technical skills and prowess on the big beats and becoming a renowned selector and mixmaster, Rich was drawn in to the phenomenon of the new sounds and frequencies of Trance and the large club experiences that were vastly populating San Francisco and San Jose.  

  With Rich’s natural musical understanding and ability, it wasn’t long before he was playing regular Trance sets in the large venues such as Studio 8, Ruby Skye or the 1015 club in S.F.

  Rich tore up the US dance floors for years playing along side artists such as Bob Sinclar, Danny Rampling, Jazzy Jeff, DJ A.M., Grandmaster Flash and Brandon Block to name a few.

  In 2006, Rich decided to spread the “Tech House Gospel according to Mundy” around the world and soon found that Vietnam had a real need for good artists to take the Dance Industry forward. This allowed Rich to get an unrivaled understanding of what the Asian market responded to and how to blend pure upfront tunes with characteristics of vibes that was popular with the local market. In addition to dominating the club scene in Saigon and Hanoi, Rich quickly became the most prolific and well respected “Vina House” producer, aka Mr.10 and has been responsible for creating a majority of the most popular Vina sounds of the last few years.

  Whilst Rich’s unique style could be described as a funky Tech House with driving anthemic rhythms and vocal peaks, he is a master at reading what works for the crowd in front of him. He is always prepared for the unexpected and can easily deliver quality commercial options to keep the energy at a euphoria with every set.
