Bassjackers release an explosive EP filled with six big-room anthems in ‘Les Pays Bass’ out via Smash The House on the 10th February 2023!

The title of the EP ‘Les Pays Bass’ pays homage to Bassjackers native country, the Netherlands, while cleverly outlining the contents of the six bass-heavy big-room anthems that lie inside. Bassjackers’ signature big-room sonics are prevalent throughout the EP. Bass bounces through ‘How We Do’, contrasting to the moodier industrial sounds of ‘Bass Hammer’ which is filled with heavy chords and simmering arpeggios. The electronic melody in ‘Old Skool Vibe’ is infectious, as are the high energy percussive gallops throughout ‘Burnout’. The only collaboration on the EP, ‘Arabian Nights Part 2’, contains hypnotic Arabic-sounding synths that weave through the track. There is an injection of a harsher sound in the final tracks of the EP, with a hard dance track, ‘That Bass’. The six new releases contain minimal lyrics throughout the EP, emphasising the power-packed beats and when featured, the vocals are distorted and repetitive complimenting the electrifying melodies. ‘Les Pays Bass’ provides high energy, to ignite adrenaline and rupture speakers.

The unique one DJ and one producer composition of Dutch duo Bassjackers, creates the perfect synergy. After exploding onto the dance scene in 2011 following the release of ‘Mush Mush’, they have gained a myriad of accolades. They currently stand at number 27 in DJ Mags Top 100 DJs, after maintaining their position in the top 100 for 8 consecutive years. Their music has achieved worldwide success, topping charts around the globe. Their talents have seen them collaborate with an enumeration of the biggest and most skilled names in the dance scene; Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Timmy Trumpet, as well as producing remixes for a plethora of A-listers from Rhianna and Enrique Iglesias to Moby. Bassjackers have shown no sign of slowing, their recent release ‘Happy Together’ receiving a million streams in a matter of weeks; the ‘Les Pays Bass’ EP confirms it can only get better.

British DJ/Producer Matt Nash has announced the release of his upcoming 2-track EP ‘Generation Love’, due out on 5th May via Steve Angello’s SIZE Records.

Uptempo opener ‘ML4U’ combines a driving bassline, full-bodied synth patterns laced with an emotive vocal hook. ‘Generation’ boasts a hard-edged bassline and punchy piano chords, underpinning a warped vocal hook, bringing the energetic EP to a close. Polished and well rounded, ‘Generation Love’ showcases Nash’s cleverly-crafted sound and is set to launch the British producer into mainstream consciousness.

Matt Nash has carved his way through London’s thriving dance music scene since the age of 15. Now making his mark on a global scale, Nash’s recent single ‘Know My Love’ has hit over 2 million plays across Spotify and Soundcloud to date. His diverse production skills have landed him on numerous festival and club stages including Creamfields, Amsterdam Dance Event and Ushuaia in Ibiza. Nash’s progressive house style has gained the support of dance music heavyweights: Don Diablo, Tiesto, Kryder and Steve Angello himself.
