In 1987, the Pet Shop Boys performed a synth-pop version of "Always on My Mind" on Love Me Tender, a television special on ITV in the United Kingdom. Commemorating the tenth anniversary of Presley's death, the programme featured various popular acts of the time performing cover versions of his songs. The Pet Shop Boys' performance was so well-received that the duo decided to record the song and release it as a single.

This hi-NRG and dance-pop version became the UK's Christmas number-one single that year – edging out "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues – spending four weeks atop the chart. It also reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming their fifth and last top ten hit on that chart.

It’s not uncommon for Rob to leave from behind the decks, hit the dance floor for a few minutes, and run back behind the decks, all while keeping the momentum going. When asked why he does that, he replies, “Because it’s fun.” “I get so excited when I see the crowd having a good time, that I want to be apart of that energy.” “It’s also a great way for me to meet and thank the patrons for coming out.”

Robs latest achievements include being voted the best LGBTQ DJ in Jacksonville, Florida three years running by CityXtra Magazine, and 3rd place in Folio Weekly's  Reader poll 2019, as well as remixing artist such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, and Many More.  Robs new Venture includes scouting for new artists, and releasing their productions on his label Moore Music LLC.
