"Spirit journey" is a solo album by iritena, Native American flute player.

 This album, mostly original tunes, is featuring the sound of the native American flute.

 The 11 tunes on the album are made up of rearranged native North American folk songs, as well as original tunes which take the Indian flute into a new, unexpected realm of sound for this instrument. These musical stories are showing his desire to expand the adventures for this type of flute.

 3 songs are Co-written with ASK, an acoustic band consisting of banjo, piano and a deeply warm and spiritual female vocal. There is also a tune composed with Bo-Z EXP, a sound creator who is best known for electronic improvisation. This is iritena's and his first recorded collaboration 


北米インディアンをルーツとする木製の笛（ネイティブアメリカンフルート）を使ったサウンドを真ん中に置いたオリジナル曲を中心にしてアルバムは構成されている。なかには北米アメリカインディアンの伝承曲をアレンジした楽曲、またはインディアンフルートから離れた歌曲もあり、新たな地平を目指す11の物語を収録したフルアルバムとなった。

新作の中には、今までライブ等で多くの共演をしてきたアコーススティックバンドASK（絶品なフレーズを紡ぎだすバンジョー奏者、コンポーザーでもあり素晴らしいアレンジャーでもあり最高の演奏者でもあるピアノ奏者、そして深い精神性を感じさせる透明な声を持つヴォーカリスト）と共作した３曲に加え、これまでは即興的パフォーマンスで共演をしてきたサウンドクリエイターBo-Z EXPとの初レコーディングにより完成した楽曲も含まれており、より多彩な音空間を創造している。
