DJRodneyKC - 2012 April Mix Part 4

I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO and have a collection of music like no other, which includes music of the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's and radio & club hits of today. Music has always been a part of my life and when I turned 21 my mind opened and absorbed the music and styles from various Kansas City DJ's. My influences were and still are DJ Jack, DJ Tabitha, DJ Jerry Griffith, BJ the DJ, Louie Orlando, DJ Mike Hess, Matt Borland, The Legendary "Katfish" Kris Kelly, Steve Thorell, RJ Bass, DJ Chris Medley, DJ Ray Velasquez, DJ Shauno, DJ Shad Prock, DJ Roland and the list goes on. If I forgot to mention your name, I'm sorry. (Not intentional, just that there are so many) 

Through many hours of listening and studying what the above Disc Jockey's played, I have created my own unique blend and style of mixing that brings together a fun party atmosphere for the new 21 year old out for his first trip to a club or the elegantly aged individual that has been around the block a few times. 

My favorite club was and will always be "The Edge", closed now for several years was located downtown near 8th and Central at Lucas Place just a few blocks away from new "Power & Light District". The best way to describe the "Edge" is that it was the "Studio 54 of Kansas City". Anything could happen and it did. This is where I learned the art of beat-mixing music and the appreciation of just not playing music but becoming one with the music. It was because of "The Edge" and DJ Jack I became so influenced with Music and becoming a DJ.
