autumn is there. hell yeah! summer was way too short and intense. 

now a new time is starting, I will leave my hometown soonish and Im not planning to come back, so im kinda excited and a lot emotions are overwhelming me atm =)

soooo as I was listening through this mix once more, I was asking myself what the hell is going on with me... dark, deep, nervous, unpredictable, up in space, a bit not on this earth. well.. this is how im feeling right now (:

Unsere Nr. 248 kommt heute von einem Frankfurter Künstler, den wir vor gut einem Jahr im berühmt berüchtigten Tanzhaus West (https://tanzhaus-west.de/) bei seinem Set kennenlernten. Uns war sofort klar, dass er unbedingt in unserer Reihe dabei sein sollte. Gesagt getan.

Die Rede ist von Philipp Wolf, einem Producer und DJ aus Leidenschaft. Der ein oder andere ist bestimmt schon über eines seiner Podcasts und Aufnahmen gestoßen. Oder aber auch live gesehen... 

Das von Ihm eingespielte Set ist eine herrlich ‚afterhoureske‘ Reise ins Dickicht der melodischen und verträumten elektronischen Musik mit einem Touch an cheesiness und Nostalgik. Wie es zu dem Mix gekommen ist, was Waldbeeren im Tee zu suchen und vieles mehr erfahrt ihr weiter unten in unserem kleinen Interview.

Interview:

-Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?

Aktuell ganz klar durch meine eigenen Erlebnisse im Nachtleben aber auch durch das abendliche „diggen" durch Soundcloud, Beatport, Traxsource und Spotify. Nach meinem 18 . Geburtstag  bin ich früher oft in das berühmte Cocoon in Frankfurt gefahren und habe stundenlang in der „Lounge" gesessen und dem Deep House der DJs zugehört. Das hat mich so fasziniert und begeistert, dass ich mir selber einen kleinen Controller gekauft habe. Ein paar Monate später durfte ich auf dem ersten Geburtstag und 2 Jahre später das erste Mal in Frankfurt zocken. Ich bin ein großer Fan von Stephan Bodzin (gerade erst im Flugzeug nach Lissabon getroffen), der Keinmusik Crew als auch Künstlerin wie Aparde, Jungle, Weval oder auch den Grandbrothers! 

- Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?

Es ist eine ganz schöne Weile her, dass ich das letzte Mal auf einer richtig guten Afterhour war. Allerdings steht und fällt alles mit der Gruppe an Leuten, mit denen man den letzten Teil des Abends / Morgens einläutet. Für mich gilt die Devise: Weniger ist mehr! Lieblingsmenschen oder schöne Geschichtenerzähler gepaart mit einem sehr entspannten, gefühlsvollen Set und bequemen Decken, oder Sofas und ein paar Lichtern können mich schon richtig gut abholen! Zu Guter letzt freue ich mich auf ein paar gierige Snacks und etwas später dann auch über einen Waldbeeren Tee.

- Welche Gedanken magst du uns zu deinem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Das Set ist für mich eine richtige Wohltat. Oft darf ich Playtimes spielen, bei denen die Tracks, die im Set zu hören sind, nicht den Vibe catchen würden. Allerdings ich sie aktuell rauf und runter höre oder einen perfekten Moment damit verbinde! Für mich also das perfekte Afterhour Set! Ein Track hat es leider nicht hinein geschafft, den ich euch allerdings noch mitgeben möchte: Ivory von Movement; Wahnsinn!

So grateful for this beautiful experience. Thank you to my love Mira, I had the honor to play the closing for Mira's Birthday. I played for 8 hours on Tuesday morning. One of my best sets, high energy, and so many friends stayed and danced till the end inclusive of the birthday queen. Only 5 hours are recorded then the recorder stopped but so happy about these 5 hours. Thank you soo soo much. Love you

▌I Did your approach on creating music change during the pandemic and did it maybe even influence your style?
Yes, definitely. I became more open to let all different influences on my path as a musician came through into my music. I allowed myself not being functional anymore and created only from the heart.
