Three years after their first collaboration, culminating in the release of “The Passenger”, Om Unit and Martyn are back on 3024 with another four track exploration of tempo and vibrations on a new EP called “AJ^6”.

The two ‘veteran’ producers have been highly prolific over the past years, with Om Unit making waves with his massive Acid Dub Studies project as well as new work under his Philip D. Kick alias, and Martyn spearheading and mentoring a robust group of new musicians responsible for no less than five (!) compilations on 3024. What brings the two producers together in the studio once again is the constant hunger for new and interesting sounds on the outer rim of the ‘bass continuum’. Instead of tirelessly rehashing old tropes they are continuously inspired to write new music that’s both current as well as firmly in their aesthetic profile.

‘Basilisk’ and ‘The Trenches’ are great examples of the duo blending odd tempos with dub wise heaviness. ‘Basilisk’ has already been doing some serious damage on the dance floor with its punchy 107 beat structure and headzy breakdown, while the almost imperial march of ‘The Trenches’ introduces a bubbly bass line. ‘Illroy’ and ‘Dragonfly’ both inhabit a dreamier, more melodic universe and have a timeless, ambivalent quality to them, somewhere between a lost b-side of an early 00s Hospital Records release and something on Scuffed. roams across the board, while still maintaining Jamie George's unique British soulful style
that has continued to gain him support across the full spectrum of the music industry.

The title of the first track, Art House, describes the smell of this release quite well. House rhythms, which could encourage nodding, seasoned with essences of jazz, world, rock, EDM et cetera. Everything put in scene instrumental and a bit minimal, so that no text and singing distracts from the flow. Rather sophisticated than brutal, the tracks give your pulse the rhythm it takes to work, drive or surf the day. 
Nerds are not considered gifted dancers by the way. But if the music causes you to unintentional twitches of more than your neck muscles, I would be happy.

A few months ago we introduced to Jen Hartley aka Yushh @yushh with the inaugural release of her label Pressure Dome. Jen established herself as one of Bristol’s most exciting new faces on the scene. As a local selector, she's turned her attention to the groundswell of artists the city has to offer. She launched Pressure Dome @pressuredome - a platform for uncovering the city's talents at the cross-section of bass music and UK-ish electronic sounds.

On this second release, the Pressure Dome crew are back in full force with something fresh out of the lab. A cold fusion of other-wordly rhythm and pulsation, a blueprint of Bristol's sonic underground and its uncharted voices of vibration. 

From chuggy dancehall rhythm and energetic breaks, to intricate, atmospheric techno, electro and grime, these fifteen broken-beat builders take us on on a journey through crafted cadence and dynamic metronomy. 

Wanting to give back to the city they live in and one that inspires so much creativity in those fortunate enough to access opportunity, all proceeds from PDCOMP001 will go to Caring in Bristol, a homeless charity providing services and shelter for those most in need.

Previously making his name through his achievements as a label owner, party promoter and discovering talent such as Ross From Friends and The Colours That Rise, it’s time for Haider to step to the forefront with his incredible sleek productions. 

Releasing the first EP under his own name in 2018 on Breaker Breaker, Haider made his debut on Aus Music last year with ‘10961’. Now with ‘Endless Clouds’, Haider continues to showcase his dynamic production ability, drawing inspiration for his surrounding environment. With his ever-evolving sound, the latest project spans across Miami bass, aquatic grooves of Drexicya, 90s house and luscious electro beats on today’s single ‘Maracuja’. 

‘Endless Clouds’ will be released on the 31st July via Breaker Breaker.
