« De Norte a Sur is inspired by sounds from Chilean culture. The original EP was produced by Eli Pineda, a passionate singer and musician, using her own voice and several traditional Chilean musical instruments.
Culte's musical artists have come together to compose four new original soundtracks using their own style and musical culture.

Culte insists on showing solidarity with associations all over the world. All revenue made through this EP's sales will be donated to the "Defensa de la Infancia Mapuche" association who fi ght for Mapuche children's rights. The Mapuche, which translated from Mapudungun means "people of the earth", are an aborigines community from the southern centre of Chile and Argentina, also known as Araucans. The indigenous peoples from Chile are constantly repressed by the Chilean police and government, forcing children to fi ght for their own right to education, as their militarisation causes much intercommunity violence.

Max Tenrom has laid the emphasis on enchanting his listeners, using soft and melancholic sounds, leading to a Trip Hop vibe.
Emorine as sequenced the original track to put his trademark electro beats on his version, rebuilding the track to bring Eli Pineda's musical soul to life with power.

AmuAmu version of Rituales will take you on an exotic and stompy journey in the deep jungle. Max TenRoM´s melodies bring freshness and calmness to Sete Flechas, perfect for the morning breeze or the orange skies of a beach sunset. Nathan Hall takes Panzer Kunst and transforms it into a retro-futuristic banger.

After the success of Memoria, La Rito and Magupi join forces to give something back to the community. They create Mayahuasca, a downtempo groovy tool offered as a free download. In this track that is La Rito's first adventure below 100 bpm, they explore the banjo of Tzen Tze Re Rei with hints of the original vocal, parts of a documentary about Ayahuasca and Magupi's brilliant jams on the marimba and the keyboard. Up next on World-influenced electronic record label, Pinkturban, is a magical debut EP by Pinkturban’s Official Sitar Player, Evan Hatfield.

“Raga Mala” (meaning a mixture of Indian ragas) features the Indian string instruments, Esraj and Sitar, combined with deep drums and bass in a 111bpm medley that might make you feel like reality is melting around you. Following it up is “Magic Flute” which offers the soothing sounds of Native American flute by Kat Special.

Taking things further, king of eastern desert DJ parties, Goldcap – known for his journey-making sets from Burning Man to the Sahara – delivers a spectacular remix of “Raga Mala” that’s destined for the dancefloors.

Egyptian calligraphy artist Mahmoud Gafar provides Arabic Square Kufic artwork which reads “A long lover’s night”, an excerpt from the Sufi poet Rumi.

Hope this little piece of music can bring you some peace during these weird times. All my respect and recognition to the original artists Dakha Brakha for their always beautiful works (I strongly recommend you to check their music if you don't know it yet).

We are living days of big changes and uncertainty. And although I’m sure I won’t stop creating music, I hope I can continue sharing with you my harmonies, beats and feelings in the best way possible.
