🇺🇸 12 years ago, I left Rio and landed in the US. First time abroad, first time living alone. Since then: came out, got married, moved to NYC, became a US citizen. So let’s celebrate these milestones with music!

My new set, American Summer, is a love letter to summertime in New York City. The vibes flow from golden sunsets at rooftop parties to sweaty Brooklyn warehouse afters. 

I’ve poured my heart and soul into this project because I really wanted to make this one unique — 19 of the 24 songs are original remixes and mash-ups. And this summer, I am beyond excited to bring all this new music on the road with me for my first-ever summer tour! We will have so many opportunities to dance together! I can’t wait! ❤️

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Sakalem moved to the United States as a young adult, finding his new home in Brooklyn, New York. Sakalem began his journey into music production in Summer 2023. He quickly achieved international success with his remixes being featured at major events such as Rio Carnaval, São Paulo Pride, NYC Pride, Madrid Pride, Circuit Festival Barcelona, and more.

Sakalem combines Brazil's tribal groove with New York's electronic vibes,  blending big room, house, techno, and pop into his explosive circuit sets.

He has played for events in NYC (Fever, Renegade, Worship) and, in the last year, has also brought his music to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Philadelphia, Austin, Dallas, Boston, and Phoenix.
