schmusi is a dj and producer from cologne. His musical journey began during his time at a music-focused school, where he played the trombone and keyboard, immersing himself in sound from an early age. With roots in rock, alternative but also EDM, and house music, he transitioned to techno in his late teens, eventually exploring the intricate realms of trance and hard tech. Schmusi's sound is characterized by a fusion of fast-paced, driving rhythms and melodic, emotive layers. His music often bridges the intensity of high-energy beats with harmonic, euphoric undertones, creating a captivating experience that keeps listeners both energized and entranced.

In 2023, Schmusi began djing alongside a group of friends, organizing the tunnelrave festival in Münster, Germany. This collaboration ultimately led to the official founding of bonobosociety in 2025.
