Songwriter, and musician. He is regarded as an innovator in the NRG genre for developing his signature sound, using a "powerful beat" and "newave-style" vocals with the help of a "heavy synthesizer bass", synthesizers, piano, guitars, cowbells.

Dedicated to Russell Douglas Groover know as Sunbelt and the track "Spin It" with vocal credits given to Rodney Eubanks.

Doug was a genius in his own time. A dedicated and brilliant musician, all though "Spin it" was composed in 1980 and later released in 1981, and was so far ahead of it's time that it's still very popular today. 

In 1984 from the Rags to Riches series various artist LP: KLOL FM 101– Best of Home Tapes, 

Doug released a track  "Face The Fire"
