It’s that casual demeanor that has endeared Scotty to fans around the globe: those drawn to his lack of pretense, his ear for a solid beat, and his respect for melding old school tradition with the cutting-edge.  Scotty quickly found his profile rising; from novice, self-trained DJ to resident DJ at XL, Limelight, Avalon and Spirit in NYC.  Soon thereafter residencies came along in D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Brazil and Argentina.  Most recently, Scotty has added more “super clubs” to his list including Krave Las Vegas, Unity Montreal and Fly Toronto.  He’s also become a resident with Jeffrey Sanker Events of LA and BBCM, the organizing association behind Montreal’s Black and Blue Festival.  2010 saw Scotty rise even further as he expanded his reach across Europe, secured more residencies in South America and headlined White Party Palm Springs, White Party Miami and Black and Blue Montreal...three of the biggest circuit parties in the world.  In 2012 he was voted to be the DJ for the White Party Miami VIP Fashion Show by the students of Miami International University.  Most recently he has added high profile residencies in New Delhi, India and at Splash Bar NYC

Not only is Scotty a master behind the decks, but he is also on the road to being a heavy hitting producer. Graduating top of his class at the School Audio Engineering, New York’s finest Audio Technology school, he has brought his technical and creative talents to the highest level.

Scotty was recently voted “DJ OF THE YEAR” for 2011 in Edge Magazine.  Edge is the worlds’ largest GLBT portal/online magazine with over 500,000 subscribers.  Out of 70,000 ballots cast, Scotty came out on the top of an esteemed list of the biggest DJ’s in the world including Abel, Ralphie Rosario, Brett Hendrickson and Tracy Young.

“I’m not afraid to take risks,” explains Scott. He differentiates himself from other DJs both in approach mixing on the fly, layering tracks on top of one another.  In content: he refuses to constrain himself to strict boundaries, he refuses to give the circuit crowd more of the same.  Old Skool is back and Scotty Thomson will be delivering!
