* A MiniBomb is a a concept I've been playing with for the last year. Each MiniBomb is in the same key and tempo and is very short (i.e. not a complete song, just a build-up and drop). They're useful for making interesting DJ mixes where you simply alter the order of bombs to make new remixes. I've been working in the 6A key but I'd like to have MiniBombs for every key eventually. If you like this idea and want to get involved in building a MiniBomb library, get in touch. When we get enough, we can release a library of tiny tunes.

Here’s the set I made for my 9th year playing in the Fractal Forest at Shambhala Music Festival. This year has been a crazy adventure of non-stop touring around the world, but Shambhala is always the most important set for me. 

Special thanks to Blackout JA for helping me to create the “Oh Shambhala” song and his other contributions, as well as my amazingly talented friends who send me such great music, stems and acapellas to play with. Without the forward thinking creative music community, I wouldn’t be able to make sets like this. Everything is edited and changed for my own purposes, the tracklist contains all the major elements of the set.

Stickybuds - Fractal Forest Mix - Shambhala 2013

Riding home from the Shambhala Music Festival a few years ago, <a href="http://soundcloud.com/root-sellers">Dash</a> came up with the concept for this track - calling upon the audience to put in their earplugs so we can all keep hearing the music. When we got home, we recorded the track and debuted it at the opening of Shambhala 2012. It's been a staple in my set ever since and will probably continue to get dropped for years to come.

Valentine's Day approaches and I wrote this track with love on the mind. It's the first track that features me singing, something I hope to do more of in the future. It's not a dance floor banger by any means but I have closed my set with it a few times. And it's perfect for those romantic evenings at home with your lover.

DJ Sean Michael has been tearing up the decks since '98. He is renowned for his tightly mixed, crowd pleasing sets that get any type of dance floor pumpin! In 2007, Sean Michael (formerly known as DJ Fooey) won the inaugural “Who Is DJ Moo?” National DJ Competition, plus his original track “Rippin It” placed 5th in an International DJ Poll. Sean Michael has rocked it out at both the 2007 (closing set) and 2008 Groovin the Moo Festivals and in early 2011 one of his many promo-mixes received radio air time on Raw FM's "Club Raw". In recent times Sean Michael received international praise via Free Breaks Blog and has focused more on production, which resulted in a 2013 signing to funk based label Actual Sounds.  Sean Michael has supported the all the cool cats like of Sneaky Sound System, The Potbelleez, Yolanda Be Cool, Hook N Sling, Dirty Laundry, Midnight Juggernauts, Mark Dynamix, James Ash, Kate Monroe, British India, Afro Moses and the Resin Dogs to name just a few. His DJ based live band - Soda, featuring Sean Michael originals, remixes & mash-up’s plus live vocals, sax and percussion has toured throughout regional NSW.
