"Zane and the Apple team politely extended a promotional opportunity around the release of 'The Mountain Will Fall' in the form of my own Beats1 mini-series. Each show was designed to illuminate the listener to different facets of my career up until that point. I basically had three hours to bring people up to speed so that the new album had context. At one point they asked me what I was going to name it, and I had a funny picture of a guy in my phone, so I used his image and added the hashtag '#Radioface,' for whatever reason. The name didn't really stick, but it was fun putting these together. "- DJ Shadow

"In 2009, I was asked to play the video game convention E3 in support of the release of Activision's DJ Hero. There were only two rules: include some of the mash-ups I made for the game, and no cursing please. I obliged (mostly), and there's some fun moments....recorded several months before the 2009 Halloween set, this is less about the dance floor than an attempt to reference the broader contributions of the DJ and DJ-based music. Watch out for the Coldplay/Bonecrusher mash-up, which is one of my favorite things I ever did."- DJ Shadow

"Back in December of 2019, I was asked by the good people at BBC Radio 6Music to prepare a January 1st radio show. The brief was out of the norm, which appealed to me: they wanted a daytime show, and the theme was 'tender music for tender heads...' something to soothe the body and soul.
