After welcoming @cocho-gari to our lovely label last year on our ‘De Profundis’ EP release, we were thrilled to be able welcome him to our Good Morning Guest Mix Series.

Not for the first time in our series are we back in the Argentinian capital, where we’re visiting a cosmopolitan city that dazzles with architecture, dance and up-all-night urban life. Buenos Aires is a captivating and seductive landscape where atmospheric old neighbourhoods are rife with romantic restaurants and bustling boulevards.

We are delighted to have Timur Gabrilyan, also known as Taleman, as our first guest of the year 2024 on LUX CAST.

About Artist:

Taleman is an exceptionally talented DJ and music producer from the vibrant city of Moscow, Russia. He has a strong passion for creating and playing music, and he started his journey into the world of music production in 2011.

Throughout his career, Taleman has explored various genres and styles, ranging from deep, soulful house to the organic, earthy tones of his signature sound. He has released his works on labels such as Amulanga, Where The Shadow Ends, Flug Lab, Souksonic, Delysid, Skytop, Akbal Music, For Senses Records, The Purr , Suprematic and many more. He also has an impressive EP album on Chuvstvo Ritma Rec & a debut vinyl release on the renowned Amulanga, an independent record label founded in 2019 by Modd and Ventt. Inspired by his previous successes, Taleman launched his own record label, "Try To Find Sound," in 2020.

This mix showcases his unique flair for the organic house genre. He has carefully chosen a selection of tracks, most of which are his own, to offer listeners a special experience that is both original and captivating. Sonic Safari hits double digits in style with its 10th release, LaDeira EP, the first in a series of slow to mid-tempo deep ethno-organic house collaborations between label boss BiGz and his trusted studio partner rBert. Together, the duo carves out a sonic world where hypnotic grooves, ancestral melodies, and organic textures intertwine in perfect balance.

The title track, "LaDeira", is a deep and spellbinding journey infused with Andalusian soul. Built around an undulating duduk rhythm and a tight groove that radiates calmness and serenity, its charm lies in the delicate, middle eastern inspired Ney melodies that weave seamlessly through the mix. East meets West in a warm embrace here, as the pair deliver an intricate production that is both spiritual and therapeutic, inviting listeners to lose themselves in its meditative flow.

On the flip, "Sierra Morena" channels the rugged mystique of Spain's legendary mountain range. A rich tapestry of earthy percussion, sun-drenched guitars, and atmospheric pads sets the tone, while subtle ethnic motifs give the track an unmistakable organic edge. Where "La Deira" looks inward in reflection, "Sierra Morena" gazes outward to the horizon, its rolling groove and evocative sound design capturing the spirit of travel, nature, and timeless landscapes.

With LaDeira EP, BiGz & rBert craft a masterful showcase of deep organic house artistry, setting the stage for a new chapter in their collaborative global journey.

From the hotbed of talent that has risen out of the Middle East, Shai T’s star burns brightly in the dance music firmament. At the cutting edge of the underground scene with a unique sonic palette and an ability to harness the full gamut of genres, from deep, tech and progressive house, to forays into techno and electronica, Shai’s music paints a vivid picture of refined natural talent.

Operating out of his Tel Aviv home, Shai began his musical voyage at a young age, as A multi-instrumentalist and accomplished performer, music had always been an overriding passion for the Israeli star and a guiding force on his career trajectory, almost “like the universe pushed me there…”. Consequently, Shai quickly found himself performing across the local scene as a headline DJ for the city’s leading nightclubs.

As his talent became widely recognised, DJ performances have extended far beyond Israeli borders as Shai became a renowned international artist performing at a host of world-famous venues. Thus, global performances across the continents have seen Shai T’s talents behind the decks sparkle in a career that continues to gather pace on a steep upwards trajectory, supported by an ever-growing legion of fans.

In tandem, a production career has witnessed a growing evolution of the Shai T sound that has seen him a first choice for booking agents and leading record labels alike. With a decade’s worth of commercial releases under his belt, 2018 became a catalyst for a rise to greater prominence with an appearance on the number 1 best-selling “Summer Sol” series via the aptly titled “Believe”. Shining the spotlight firmly on Shai, the track was a notable highlight for the highly influential and successful Sol Selectas imprint. 

Since then, appearances on All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Lost Miracle and TRYBESof have all catapulted Shai T to the attention of the underground music fraternity with an immaculate blend of intricate rhythms, flowing melodic lines and organic sounds. Top 10 Beatport hits have followed with the deep house vibes of Shai T’s “Our Time” on All Day I Dream and the 2020 melodic house gem, “Where the Heart is” for Lost Miracle.

Sitting proudly in the top 10 Beatport Organic House artist rankings in the latter half of 2020 – Shai T’s foray into the newly emerging genre has seen him create a tidal wave of success. Indeed, “Illusions” for the blue-chip, Do Not Sit On The Furniture has dominated the Beatport Organic House charts sitting at number one for the entire month of September 2020. 
Similarly, the “Miracles” EP on the ever-reliable TRYBESof continued Shai’s supremacy at the end of November with another number 1 Organic House hit for the title track.  Companion track, “Storyteller”, completed a clean sweep for the EP as it sat alongside at number 2.

Starting 2021 amazingly, Shai hit the charts with a 3rd & 4th number One in a row, with his remix for "Hoffnung" and his original Ep "Superstition".   Later on during 2021,  another Number One on the charts, Fifth in a row, with Shai's 2nd Ep for Sebastien Leger's Label - "The Last Dance" on "Lost Miracle". 

With his first release on 2022, Shai joined the "Lost & Found" family owned by Guy J, with a remix for Sahar Z - Back in my arms.  The remix Held tight at the number 1 position on Beatport Top 100, for 3 weeks, as the 6th number one for Shai in a row.  Later on, During August 2023, Shai returned to "All day I Dream" with his "Summer O'clock" hit, which also reached to the 1st position on Beatport Top 100 - for the 7th time, While3 months later, during November 2023, His Collab Ep with Kasper Koman "Islander / Good People" on Lost Miracle has reached the #1 position on beatport charts for the 8th time within 3 years. 

Continuing to lead from the front in an unprecedented and challenging time for the music industry, Shai T’s undoubted talent finds him establishing a host of new and exciting projects over the coming months. Passion, talent and technique place Shai as a continued and growing force in the world of underground dance music as he weaves a magical sonic tapestry of powerful storytelling and aural splendour.
