A new mixtape series from my heart to yours. The mixtapes will explore the breadth and depth of human emotion; how we connect to ourselves and each other. How we process/communicate our feelings differently (or not at all) and how music can help us find our way in and through, as a small way to heal ourselves and the world.

The first mix is: Love & Loss. 
The pain we feel when we lose someone, somewhere or something that we love. 
The grief for the lovers, friends, family, pets, homes or parts of ourselves we have loved and lost along the way. 
The ache in our heart for the people and places who feel like home that we long for. 
The sadness for the connections that shoulda, coulda, woulda been. 
For the things we don’t yet understand or have the words for.
To all the magic that is yet to come.

A bit of background to my DJ name - SHAIKH THAT - SHAIKH (pronounced SHAKE) is my surname and important part of my Pakistani heritage and identity.
