This week we are thrilled to feature another rising Ottawa-based artist working on the progressive sound.

@ephemera-official is the latest project from Scottish DJ & artist Callie Scott (they/she). Inspired by notions of impermanence—ephemera creates moments of sound, light, and movement that exist briefly before dissolving, leaving only memory in their wake.

Experimentation, variation, and adaptation are given a central role - pulling in different sounds from melodic, tech, and progressive house.

Callie has been creating and performing music for almost two decades, shifting their focus to electronic music in the mid-2010s. They are currently based in Ottawa, ON where they are an active member of the underground scene.

This week we are excited to present an incredible session from @noebortolussi, an Argentinian DJ based in the Netherlands, where she is immersed in her passion for dance music. 

Her journey in the electronic scene began in 2008 in Córdoba. Transitioning from event promoter to DJ, she developed a captivating style that seamlessly blends hypnotic and emotive elements of house and techno.

She established her own techno venue, Gia Club in Barcelona where she showcased a variety of DJs every Saturday night for two exhilarating years. Upon relocating to the Netherlands, she set out to forge her path in the world of DJing.

Noe has a residency on Saturo Sounds Radio as Resident of the 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗔 radio show, every Tuesday 5pm UK.

Shell Robinson stands at the intersection of classical training and electronic music innovation. A classically trained pianist turned house music artist, she brings a unique musicality to her productions and DJ sets that seamlessly blends technical precision with raw emotional depth.
Her journey in electronic music began in 2000 at Cleveland's "That Groovy Little Nightclub." Following a personal tragedy, house music became a powerful outlet for healing and connection. Influenced by industry pioneers like Deep Dish, Digweed, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo, Shell developed her signature style through dedicated craftsmanship, starting with two Technics turntables and pure determination.
The early 2000s saw Shell establish herself as a resident DJ at Moda Cleveland and Amnesia Columbus, while touring nationally alongside D:FUSE, including notable performances at San Francisco's iconic 1015 Folsom and Austin's vibrant 6th Street district. Her sets are carefully curated journeys through house music's emotional landscape, known for their progressive buildups and engaging energy that resonates with audiences.
After taking time to raise her daughter while maintaining an executive career in PropTech, Shell has returned to the decks with renewed passion and fresh perspective. Her recent releases on inU and UV Noir showcase her evolution as an artist, combining her classical foundation with contemporary electronic production techniques.
Shell's sets blend technical skill with musical intuition, creating memorable experiences on the dancefloor. Her unique background as a vocalist and pianist adds layers of musicality to her productions, setting her apart in today's electronic music landscape.
