New and Unreleased Progressive House, Trance & Melodic House - Ultiset EP 67

Ultiset EP 68 is massive.  A couple of people have reached out and asked how I put my sets together so I thought I would share.  I play what resonates from the prior week whether thats an hour or 4 of music.  I  have a large appetite to consume music and listen daily.  Whatever stands out goes in to a bin throughout the week whether its Beatport, Bandcamp, or promos and at times I also test out songs I am working on that are in process.  On Fridays I listen to my "bins", make my selections and then start to put the songs in an order I think may work well between transitions and to progress the journey forward.  I test the transitions out, make adjustments, some weeks it requires more revisits than others....Then its practice run and a mix run or two to record and deliver the set.  

There will be a pause for a couple of weeks until the next Ultiset.  I have two upcoming guest mixes I am excited to promote and I hope you will listen in to those and support them as well!  Look out for announcements shortly on my social accounts.....

Unreleased Promos and Top New Progressive House - Ultiset EP 76

What a week for music - welcome to Ultiset EP 77.  This mostly unreleased promos mix along with several recently signed studio works for me is a four hour journey to add to whatever you may be doing.  A special call out to the music that Karen Fagan is making and releasing on Schallmauer records.  Top songs and both are included in this mix.  Part of being an artist is taking risks and also being comfortable working on your imperfections without perfectionism.  I say this because this is something I am working hard on - a constant rub and battle with every song I make.  I know I am not there yet - whatever "THERE" is but I sit down and work on it anyway.  If you haven't read the book "The Obstacle Is the Way" I highly recommend it.  Lean in to the process, growth and discomfort to see what can be.  That is music to me. Top Summer Progressive - Ultiset EP 82

This week's Ultiset is a wild ride and journey.  It also was inspired by David Hammond's music (AKA Solis (US)).  Sometimes when someone shares their music with you - it must be shared and a mix theme emerges from it.  This is that set.  Solis' music is getting a lot of attention by the big guns in progressive and it is not surprising.  Stellar production, emotional yet big room tough...he is one to watch!  This set also features amazing promo music by labels and producers I truly admire and enjoy supporting.  Also, I have been pondering what my sets mean to me lately and this is what resonates - They are editorial as much as they are a journey - there is so much amazing new music hitting the scene and this is that music I feel is going to make a significant impression on the progressive and house music scene.  I love making these long sets every week and sharing it with those who love the music as much as I do.  I have also included some new music I have been working on. Shell Robinson stands at the intersection of classical training and electronic music innovation. A classically trained pianist turned house music artist, she brings a unique musicality to her productions and DJ sets that seamlessly blends technical precision with raw emotional depth.
Her journey in electronic music began in 2000 at Cleveland's "That Groovy Little Nightclub." Following a personal tragedy, house music became a powerful outlet for healing and connection. Influenced by industry pioneers like Deep Dish, Digweed, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo, Shell developed her signature style through dedicated craftsmanship, starting with two Technics turntables and pure determination.
The early 2000s saw Shell establish herself as a resident DJ at Moda Cleveland and Amnesia Columbus, while touring nationally alongside D:FUSE, including notable performances at San Francisco's iconic 1015 Folsom and Austin's vibrant 6th Street district. Her sets are carefully curated journeys through house music's emotional landscape, known for their progressive buildups and engaging energy that resonates with audiences.
After taking time to raise her daughter while maintaining an executive career in PropTech, Shell has returned to the decks with renewed passion and fresh perspective. Her recent releases on inU and UV Noir showcase her evolution as an artist, combining her classical foundation with contemporary electronic production techniques.
Shell's sets blend technical skill with musical intuition, creating memorable experiences on the dancefloor. Her unique background as a vocalist and pianist adds layers of musicality to her productions, setting her apart in today's electronic music landscape.
