"Viton-Hi" is a vitamin EC-based formulation manufactured and sold by Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare, first released in 1984. This product is effective in alleviating peripheral circulatory disorders, improving symptoms such as stiffness in the shoulders and neck, numbness and coldness in the hands and feet, and chilblains. It also contributes to maintaining skin health by helping to reduce blemishes, freckles, and pigmentation caused by sunburn or rashes. Additionally, it is suitable for vitamin supplementation during periods of physical fatigue, recovery from illness, and in the elderly. "Viton-Hi" contains natural vitamin E (d-α-tocopheryl acetate), vitamin C, and sustained-release vitamin B2 butyrate as key ingredients. These components provide antioxidant effects that enhance blood circulation and inhibit the formation of lipid peroxides, promoting smoother blood flow. There is also a fortified version called "Viton-Hi Rich," which includes 2000 mg of vitamin C, offering a formulation designed for enhanced efficacy.

Zepharma was established in October 2004 through the integration of the nonprescription drug divisions of Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co. and Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co. This integration was part of the formation of Astellas Pharma Inc. in 2005. Zepharma focused on over-the-counter (OTC) medications, marketing popular products such as Gaster 10 for stomach issues, Cakonal and Precol for colds, and the Makiron disinfectant. Despite being profitable, Astellas decided to sell Zepharma due to its relatively small scale, which limited its competitiveness in the market. In 2006, Daiichi Sankyo acquired Zepharma for 23.5 billion yen, integrating it with Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare Co. to create one of Japan's largest OTC drug companies.

The work, created purely by cutting up the 30-second commercial sound of Zepharma's flagship product, PLECOL, without adding any additional musical material, can be considered a groundbreaking masterpiece that was ahead of its time, and a precursor to the vaporwave movement that emerged in the 2010s. Here, while referencing the techniques of Riow Arai, Akufen, and Prefuse73, care for the health of listeners who are prone to colds is expressed.
Despite having worked with numerous pharmaceutical companies, Shinohara has never had any dealings with Daiichi Sankyo, which, coincidentally, is one of the few pharmaceutical companies that had not been involved in any transactions with him until they acquired Zepharma.

どんなショーでも毎回使えるミックスしやすいシグニチャートラックを用意すべく、スリランカのバーベリンアーユルヴェーダリゾートで製作されたこの曲は、ラジオ小説用の環境音源集に収録されたCT検査風景の音素材を中心に作られた、ミニマルでアップリフティングなフロアチューンにもかかわらず「息を吸って止めてください」「動かないでください」と聴衆に強いる個性的で滑稽なダンストラック。音楽的にはコード感がないことでどんな曲にも混ぜて繋ぎやすいという実利を兼ねつつ、病院の無機質でシリアスな様子を表現している。

This track, created in the summer of 2008 at the Barberyn Ayurveda Resort in Sri Lanka, was designed to be a signature track that can be easily mixed and used in any show. It is a humorous and unique dance track that, despite being a dance track, humorously commands the audience to "hold your breath" and "stay still," using sound materials centered around a CT scan scene from a collection of ambient sound sources for radio novels. Musically, it has the practical advantage of being easy to mix with any song due to its lack of chordal feel, while also expressing the inorganic and serious atmosphere of a hospital.

Shinohara Intensive Care Unit (DJ Live OP)

In the early 2000s, Shinohara created "Digital Nature" by manipulating the surface of soundscape CDs to cause needle skipping, producing different soundscapes with each playback. He also engaged in experimental activities by cutting up and reconstructing sound sources to the point where their original form was unrecognizable, challenging the traditional framework of copyright management and promoting deconstruction and decontextualization. 
After leaving the ICU and dedicating himself to supporting promotional activities for mega pharmas, he refined his concept and established "Shinohara Intensive Care Unit." 
Here, he aimed to transplant medical practices onto the dance floor by simultaneously playing more than three virtual turntables, monitoring with a stethoscope, and utilizing heart sounds for auscultation training and CT scan audio sources for pulse control. 
In the 2010s, he was involved in the development of liquid diets and paused his activities, but there is anticipation for his return after the settle down of COVID-19.
