Deep Within Recordings ignites their launch with a massive thirteen track compilation album, already setting a standard for the brand-new imprint in a way which many new labels won’t be able to match.

Pushing through only the most cutting edge up and comers from Austria, the UK and Luxembourg, this forthcoming album showcases exactly what this label has to offer the contemporary drum & bass scene.

Packed with hotly tipped names such as Hexa, Mofes, Kidsonic and Envy, three tracks featured have already seen support from the likes of Noisia via their radio show as well as a wide range of DJ spins, with the Deep Within Recordings sound already infecting club spaces throughout Europe.

Envy’s ‘Exile’ is the first track to take centre stage and it features sweeping levels of white noise which suddenly cuts out to leave you fully enveloped within its percussive segments. ‘Mars’ by Half Ace then rolls through with a more sci-fi inspired intro, one which develops into weighty levels of sub bass and tapping hi-hats. Hexa’s ‘Solitude’ brings through the more stripped back levels which he’s become well known for, without losing any of its desired impact. Then Jak’s ‘Apothic’ follows suit, just as cutting amongst its crashing drum sequences. Kidsonic’s ‘Gunman’ features an immersive soundscape, whilst ‘Orders’ from Master Error concentrates on its pumping kicks. ‘You’ll Never Know’ from M:FX continues the ruminating vibes, meanwhile Mofes ’Panthalassa’ features switches which keep you on edge. ‘Duplex’ from Nysn, Offline’s ‘Infamous’, Sedax’s ‘Subframe’ and ‘Trainride’ from collaborative duo Sequent & Skruff each hammer home the signature sound of Deep Within Recordings, whilst doing so with their own twists. Then finally, Teej & Division pull the LP to a close, with an amalgamation of driving drums and a bassline which takes you out into the murkier depths.

As a package, the first release from Deep Within Recordings lets you know what they’re about. With more scheduled for 2020, the imprint is looking to quickly elevate itself to a position that most labels have spent years trying to reach.

This one is ridiculous, Lixed holds nothing back when it comes to production and well, we are honoured to be releasing his work on Exert. The intro takes us to another dimension with sci-fi vibes that set the scene for what is sure to be an alien experience to the novice dnb listener. Things escalate quickly and before you know it all hell breaks loose when the bass drops. This one hits different, fair play Lixed.

From first getting introduced to producing music in 2013, Siimi has become one of the most prominent acts in the Estonian dance music scene. The young artist found a place in listeners' hearts with his bold originals, funky remixes and intense live energy. 

Besides releasing music on NCS and CRUCAST, conquering the national Spotify charts and pulling in tens of millions of streams worldwide with songs such as “More Than Nothing”, “Zim Zimma” with Marcara and remixes of Nublu and Pluuto among many others, Siimi has established a massively successful signature event series and a monthly show on the national radio station Raadio2, both called “They Siimi Rollin’”.

In recent years, the 24-year-old musician has performed at countless festivals and the hottest venues in Estonia and abroad, supporting legendary artists such as Chase & Status, Luude, Bru-C, Wilkinson, K Motionz, and Koven just to name a few.
