we had so much fun playing disco and house, obscure beats and tribal treats for our kind invite from Mister Sunday to Takeover their Summer residency for the day. it was hot and delightfully hedonistic so pardon the redline audio. here is nearly 3 hours of us connecting deeply with the crowd on that gorgeous sunny afternoon.

Thank you Justin, Eamon, Kyruh, Christian. Shorty and everyone else at @nowadaysnyc plus all of our supportive Wrecked family in attendance for a very fun experience that we will never forget.

He graced our booth at the IsBurning x Dekmantel SXSW showcase last year and he has been a key figure in Texas’s developing underground dance scene for the last ten years where he integrated activism with electronic music.

About his favourite track in the mix:
"One track that I am excited to include in the mix is Luca Lozano's "No Rewinds".  It has a mellow feel but actually is in a similar BPM to the other tracks I was considering. The delicate, emotive pianos and heavy bass create this beautiful tension.  It was a fun challenge figuring out how to place a more contemplative track in the middle of these rude and euphoric bangers."

Growing up in the UK, Carrie discovered her love of house music at the tender age of 14, when she started attending acid house parties. After moving to London at age 20, she became a resident DJ at the Friendly Society, a SoHo bar where she warmed up the London crowds before they went out clubbing. During her five-year residency, she also began playing at clubs and bars in Brixton, branching into soulful house and disco, having residencies at Plan B and Mass. She was fortunate to DJ with most of her DJ idols and favorite producers before leaving the UK for San Francisco in 2010. In SF, Carrie continues to play a combination of nu disco, classic disco, and house under the moniker CarrieOnDisco, with a singular focus on bringing joy to the dance floor. She is one of the resident DJs at the Stud.
