Former Bar25 resident, acclaimed DJ and producer and Sender Records boss Benno Blome is back with a brand new EP that features two of his originals and two fine remixes from Okain Haus and Mihai Popoviciu.
Benno Blome is a boundary pusher who always diversifies with each new release and every DJ set. He has put out great EPs like Braitbendnoodles and the opulent after-hour head-movie "Eramina" and here impresses with a deep and infectious house sound. 
Opener Abotha is a nice and steamy cut with soulful pads layered up over soft rubber beats. Little melodic hooks pull you in and vocal murmuring add a steamy sense of human emotion. 

Romanian Mihai Popoviciu has had great success either solo or with the likes of Jay Bliss and has released on labels including Fear Of Flying, Hudd Traxx, Bang Bang and Diynamic. His remix here is slightly more uptempo and slick, with simmering and shimmying chords rolling over the face of the infectious beats. 

Also remixing is Frenchman Okain, who is a Fabric and Watergate regular and who puts out music on BPitch Control, Cadenza and many others. His version of Abotha is more tech, stripped out and freewheeling, with airy hi hats and thin synth lines meandering about to really hypnotise mind, body and soul. 

Benno’s other original is LED, another syrupy, gloopy, perfectly soft and inviting, warm and romantic house groove with gentle synth stabs, smeared pads and lots of late night soul in its bones. Great vocals again act as a nice human hook and it doesn’t take much to imagine the floor going wild for this one. Once again then Benno Blome proves he is a talented producer with many great ideas and more than the skills to pull them off.

Berlin based DJ and producer Patryk Molinari steps up for remix duties and gives Verana his 303 Treatment. Patryk knew electronic music would be a big part of his life from an early age. His late teenage years would become the moment he realised this passion was so strong and he started to produce his own music. He was influenced by the Big Beat scene but soon discovered house music opting for the deeper shades within the genre. He has released a plethora of top notch cuts across various labels in the last several years and shows no signs of letting up, definitely an artist to keep tabs on. As you'd expect from the remix title we're treated to a healthy dose of vintage 303 acid. A chunky kick drum leads the way as a meandering acid line coasts in the background over a superb thick bass. Cool FX, gated synths and swirling pads add colourful textures but it's the acid that gets under your skin giving this track a unique flavour. Top notch stuff you do not want to miss.

Eau de 90s opens up with the classic vocals from Owens layered over warm house beats, a nice bassline is joined by raw perc and make this a perfect tonic for the club.

The Markus Homm remix is then more stripped back and driving, with a slick house groove and rubbery kicks getting deep under your skin. Vinyl Crush is a darker, dirtier tune with burrowing beats and a late night menace that keeps you locked. Once the big diva vocal arrives hands will go in the air. Steady the Ship is a more bubbling and warm tune with well programmed drums and chords that tease and please.

Techno supremo Markus Homm returns for his second outing on Kenja Records with a killer EP that includes a monster Chus & Ceballos Remix.

The lead track ’Back At It’ is a deep and minimal journey into melodic house. A track that keeps the energy levels high but the vibe is distinctly subtle with a lush mid track breakdown with its atmospheric pads, synth stabs  and that hypnotic rolling groove. ‘Casino’ is more driving with a building bass line and a more pumping groove. The vibe is still deep with bleepy synths and soft pads working the track into the night. Finally, house legends Chus & Ceballos deliver a simply ace remix of ‘Back At It’. They skilfully pick out all the key elements from the Original and turn it into a peak time banger!

Markus Homm has earned his place and position as a leading DJ & Producer on the International Techno scene. A regular at legendary Berlin clubs like Panorama Bar, Watergate and Tresor. Born in Hungary, Gabor Nemethy AKA Snilloc started DJing at the tender age of 18, and eventually made his way through with a combination of hard work and unceasing enthusiasm. When he started working together with Behnam in 2002, a whole new creative world opened up, and they soon got the chance to prove their talent to a broader audience. They visited the best clubs from London to Tokyo, leaving quite an impression wherever they played. Their works as Collins & Behnam found favour with well-known labels such as Global Underground, Intec, Noir Music, Recycled Loops, Yoshitoshi, Suara and more.
Snilloc started working solo, and then as part of the production duo CrossNineTroll with Nigel Snorter in 2011. Tracks from Snilloc’s first release, Lines EP on Monique Speciale, became underground club hits, and were played regularly by the likes of Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, etc. Gabor’s second EP “Hazy Shade” was released on Metroline Limited in 2012 and received great support from Steve Lawler, Andrea Oliva, Davide Squillace, Matthias Tanzmann, Okain, etc. Particularly Carola was interested in Snilloc, and was soon playing his remix of Smoke Sykes’s track “Elisabeth” in his sets for over six months. Snilloc’s talent was soon recognized in Ibiza, and Amnesia’s resident, Mar-T, asked him to release for his seminal Wow! Recordings imprint together with the remixes by AFFKT and Mar-T himself. By the end of the summer, Snilloc was already working with Paul Ritch’s Quartz Rec, under which he released the “Black Boutique” EP together with an expert remix by the Italian producer, Leon. The prime track from this EP called “RatCat” was played a lot by Matthias Tanzmann, Nick Curly, Lee Burridge, Marco Carola and lots of others. Snilloc’s next remix was made for East End Dubs on Metroline Limited in 2013, and was included in tracklists of like Nick Curly, Audiojack, Karmon, Tapesh, etc.
