DJ Spen's contribution to the house scene is immeasurable, he's an inspiration both in the studio and in the DJ booth for his energetic feel-good approach to both of those art forms.

Keeping as busy as ever Spen is clearly not a producer who is content to rest on his laurels. He is still as prolific as ever both with his own productions and also via his labels Quantize and Unquantize. His latest project see's him collate a collection of remixes from his classy 2021 album 'Soulful Storm'.

Eye of the Storm features some of the most talented names in house music giving their own spin to Spen's recordings. It's a true joy of an album. Step up Kerri Chandler, David Morales, Terry Hunter, Jovonn, DJ Meme and a long list of incredibly talented producers.

Our premier today see's Brooklyn's DJ Spinna go to work on 'Nobody But You' featuring a silk smooth vocal from Fonda Rae. The result as you may expect is a sumptuous slice of soulful house from the bubbling bassline, smooth pads and groove of a synth. House music veteran Eddie Amador unleashes his hot new triple tracker EP for Unquantize. ‘Shout It Out’ oozes positive energy, armed with a spirited preacher vocal and some hefty organ slaying underpinned by a deep bass rumble and bouncing beats. 'Do You’ is centred around a cute Disco hook that shimmies and shakes over a chunky house groove, and closing out the package on a dazzling Disco House high is ‘Carpet Ride’, a danceable feast, teased with craftily chopped and filtered happy Disco loops.

Acclaimed US House music producer and DJ Eddie Amador has been contributing to the dance scene since 1998 when his classic anthem ’House Music' exploded on the scene. He’s since upheld a fruitful career releasing dance floor hits on labels such as Yoshitoshi, Defected, Pacha, Suara, Yellow, Subliminal, Spinnin, Stealth, Nervous NYC, Deeplife Records, Toolroom and Unquantize, among many. Recently, Eddie has released some brilliant house music collaborations with Baltimorean producer, MicFreak, on ‘Let Go’ and ‘Connection’, along with additional collaborations with the likes of Dany Cohiba, Ben A and Milk & Sugar.

DJ Rae is one fiercely talented and dynamic artist. Since then, Rae has gone on to work with some of the biggest names on the scene from ATFC, DJ SKT, David Penn, Doorly, Danism + Train, Just Us & Eddy, Monki, The Deepshakerz, Gene Farris, and many more, as well as releasing her own solo productions to great acclaim. With a strong release schedule closing out 2020 with tracks forthcoming on Quantize Recordings, Club Sweat and Let There Be House, Rae is also working on her highly anticipated debut artist album. With global tour dates, DJ Rae has headlined festivals and key dance events, and also toured with the hugely successful Hacienda Classical, performing on iconic stages such as Pyramid stage at Glastonbury and Royal Albert Hall, London, all whilst continuing to build her fan base on home turf with a weekly radio show on London's House FM.'

US house icon DJ Spen (aka Sean Spencer) began his illustrious career in the mid-’80s as a 13 year- old Baltimore hip-hop radio DJ, making beats with his group the Numarx. The group was responsible for writing and recording 'Girl You Know It’s True', later covered by Milli Vanilli. DJ Spen later moved into the classic Chicago house sound, joining forces with The Basement Boys collective. Working with a group of talented vocalists and musicians, under the name Jasper Street Co., DJ Spen released his first solo production, 'A Feelin’ on Basement Boys Records in 1995. This was the first in a lauded series of releases for the label that brought Spen commercial and dance floor success over the next decade, earning him international recognition as a house music pioneer.
And now fresh for 2021, he reveals his highly anticipated new long player, 'Soulful Storm’.
