New Era 3: All New House!

ATTN: this is the corrected version of the march installment of New Era House Sessions. I rendered the first with an active auto pan effect that effect the whole hour, but this version is so super clean..


   After moving our house across country to New Mexico only to have to new New Mexico location less the two later.  then a month at the new place before heading off to Arizona first Prescott then and now the ever growing Phoenix!!!  Now though we are finally setting up shop, sticking around for a while getting reestablished here in the and of the burning sun, so we got a new house, well new to us, the music in this mix however is truly new.  As in every song is in the past 6 month released.  And there were so many hot AF songs the list is way bigger then the mix, you'll have to check out the list for yourself, now it's time for an hour of uncensored NEW HOUSE!

Sometimes you get in these states these times when everything just flows the way it should.  It seems like they are few and far between, but when you learn to slow down and listen like really listen you catch the details, that most people usually miss...Don't miss the details, there are plenty of details in this mix. It's not liquid but it flows like liquid, keep the energy up, keep you heard up, eyes and ears open and the beat pumpin!!!

So Last month at the end of the first week I got a call saying due to clerical reasons my transfer for my probation was done improperly.  They said I had to go to New Mexico from my home in Phoenix until it was sorted out.  Only I don't have family or anything in New Mexico.  Thankfully some DanceSafe.org friends came to my aid and saved me from being on the streets.  Well these are mostly the songs I discovered while I was there, away from my home, this is the House I found.  It kept me feeling like I was in my House even though I was so far from Home.  Hopefully it makes you feel the same way.  This is strictly for entertainment , I do not own these songs, they have been curated by me for you to enjoy, commercial free for an hour of the best House music has to offer!!! New Era 6 - The House Away from Home!

So I finally got ti finish putting together the next Drum & Bass mix, and this has got all the hot shit.  Mostly pretty new, a couple almost a year old, but all your favorite top DNB producers and some you never thought you would here producing such kick ass DNB like this.  There are some new breakout artists, one in particular whom I've reposted recently and some players in the game like Baauuer and RL Grime, and the return of What So Not. So Last month was the Heaters, but this month it's getting to hot out and so we need some chillers to play indoors!  I wasn't going to do this till the new month, but this is so good I couldn't wait!  This is even a little over my normal hour at 90 min cause I HAD to get all these tracks on the mix.  If you like deep house, melodic house, tech house, this is the BEST DEEP TECH you will find out there.  With the exception of Kaskade these are all over seas artists and man do they kill it.  This is already my favorite mix yet and probably my best too...This is 90 min of perfectly smooth deep tech melodic golden goodness. Scandinavian production duo anamē follow up the release of their debut album, 'Beautiful World’, with ‘Bermondsey Bender’ (ANUQRAM Remix).

The collaborative work of Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad reaches its latest apex with ‘Beautiful World’, an album that the pair have envisioned since first meeting over two decades ago. Following on from solo work with the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Axwell /\ Ingrosso and Kaskade over the last ten years, the duo’s debut album is the latest milestone in their expansive discographies. 

Originally released as part of ‘Beautiful World’, ‘Bermondsey Bender’ is a nod to the South London neighbourhood where the Anjunabeats office and Above & Beyond studio are based.

“That song is about how we spent so much time down there – but it's not actually about a drunken night!” Marcus says. “It's just about how that area of London has this energy. And you kinda leave with that energy, feeling completely drunk. Drunk on energy and good vibes.” Now, ANUQRAM bring fans their own uplifting rework of the track.

Progressive house duo ANUQRAM first appeared on Anjunabeats in October 2021 with their collaboration with PROFF, ‘Echoes’. Their most recent releases on the label, 'Get On' and ‘Don’t Stop’, have seen major support from other progressive house acts and charted at at #2 and #4, respectively, on Beatport. First debuted by anamē at Red Rocks in October 2023, the duo are quickly building their names as incredibly talented producers with much more music to come in 2024.

So, somebody was looking for a DJ the other and said they needed a trap DJ...I responded but was not even asked to submit a demo for listening to like the other people who had had responses.  I don't know if they thought cause I play house at my gig in the city, but I play music...EDM is as far as a genre-specific limitation that I have... I actually like to start out somewhere around 70 and climb up the song ladder until I get top 125, 128, then hand it off...This way I provide a little all the ills you will still and we will be riding that wave of energry.  I always try to build up energy and loudness for 3 songs before bringing it back to a lower threshold so it can give people a break and let them keep going all night...Your boy does it right, others I just don't do it at all. So this track was part of the learning process and training I did while at the Producer Dojo HQ, formerly in LA.  It was a special track that I wanted to put together for a while.  It may not be much but it's the emotion and intention that went into it that makes it so big...See my daughter passed away at 2 and a half and ever since I wanted to find a way to incorporate her into my music.  I chose "Imagination" from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory soundtrack, because a dear friend Micheal, who passed away on his way to my house at only 22, always wanted me to remix it.   This track found a way to incorporate both of them into something beautiful.   My daughter always played with her ladybug  spray bottle and brush, on literally everything.  Plus since she passed the ladybug appears anytime she is near, at the oddest of times and places.  So we searched for the sounds of a ladybug and actually found a recoding of the internal sounds one makes.  Using the sample, I have processed the audio to create other sounds, like the kick and snare, some bass, and other elements of the music I make, including this.  On top of that there are some of her voice samples, there were only a few and now thanks to the help of the Producer Dojo and the Dojo Master I have them immortalized in music forever.  So this is dedicated to my friend Micheal for the ideas and believing in me, to my precious daughter who was my whole life, to my wife who saved my life and gave me the chance to do this, to the dojo for its choice in taking me on to the class of 808, and for giving me the tools and support needed to get to this point.  Special thanks to the dojo master for his help in making this song a reality.
