Her Smile (Biased Beauty)

EM-JãŸ hails from Longford in the midlands of the Republic of Ireland . Now into his third year here in BC , he comes via the Rave scene in Dublin in the late 90’s and moving to Edinburgh Scotland playing with The Drum Clinic SoundSystem in 2001 . After taking many years out from music and returning to college at SEM Manchester and graduating in 2019 is as enthusiastic if not more so than the younger days.Moving to Vancouver soon after SEM in 2019 ,EM-JãŸ spent his time playing music with one of the most active crews in Vancouver,BC “Vantek “ and  More recently in late 2021 founding APX Collective and organizing events by Starting off at the now infamous underground club , The Mine , where he was instrumental in setting the place up and running and organizing events there.Now back in Manchester Uk , and spending time back at SEM Manchester at music production and sound design .Can be got Playing a broad range of sounds from minimal & melodic to hard Techno and House depending on the mood and time.

Welcome to the WE ARE ONE Podcast Episode 204 with Marçal Prats!

This session for We Are One Podcast Series is not only exclusive in that it compiles a carefully curated selection of tracks but also includes the premiere Marçal Prats' latest production 'Fascinated' that will be release on 1st July2023 by Sutil Records.
The selection of tracks is an exchange between the most elegant House and Progressive, where the key elements that define them, such as the undulating bass lines of House or the beautiful soundscapes of Progressive, alternate in their order. A silky beginning progressively increases its energy intensity until reaching an apotheosis ending worthy of raising the arms of the audience.

Marçal Prats:
Marçal Prats is a newcomer Dj and producer. Originally from Barcelona, he is based in London following his endless aim for achieving new creative challenges. In addition to his productions and mixes, he is an established graphic designer and enthusiast photographer.
On 1st July 2023, Marçal releases his latest production, 'Fascinated' paying homage to the iconic 1987 freestyle disco hit by 'Company B', Marçal has infused "Fascinated" with a modern twist, delivering a captivating dance anthem that will transport you to the golden era of dance music.
In 2002, Marçal Prats released his first techno-house remix of London singer and actress Linda John-Pierre's song 'Night People' by The Cat & Mr Cool. During the mixing and mastering process, he meets the prestigious DJ, producer, and radio host David Gausa (@davidgausa). Marçal began a long collaboration as a graphic designer for Gausa's brand-new house music label, Sutil Records (@sutilrecords-sutilvox).
Marçal started his interest in electronic music in the 80s, fascinated by High-Energy, Italo-Dance, and its hypnotic arpeggiated baselines. He was soon seduced by the birth of House Music and the crunchy 303 analogue sounds of Acid-House. In the mid-90s, during his first visit to London, he was again seduced by Drum&Bass, Big Beat, and IDM. In the first half of the 2000s, Deep Progressive House became his favourite electronic choice. Marçal continues combining his role as a designer with his devotion to music. As he works on new productions, he has released a series of DJ mixes where he brings together the tracks that have influenced him since the turn of the century.

DJ at the age of 15 at the "club 4" next to Nice, I learned the craft by mixing all night long with DJ Boudha every summer and school holidays.
My weapons being made, my first big evening was a Limelight on new Year 93' beside of Mozart, Liza'N Eliaz and Lady B.
After all was chained with my first amazing rave to the side of Scan X and Jack of Marseille, Yayo, and Vibot.
My musical style turned around Techouse & Techno in progress with tracks from the four corners of the planet ...
There were 6 years outdoor concerts, clubing, rave party, festivals with the creation of Prophets Tribe next to:
