After his first two one-off singles “Black Pegasus” and “Day Without
You” introduced DJ Swagger’s massive songwriting abilities and
love for recording instruments, his first album on Kommerz Records,

“Chemistry Forever”, showcases his background in UK-leaning elec-
tronic music as well as new tendencies towards neo soul, indie pop

and jazz. Welcome DJ Swagger to the Kommerz Records stage and
prepare for the album to drop on March 22nd.
The 25-year-old from West Germany’s Bielefeld is pretty much the
archetype of a so-called Wunderkind. At his young age the producer,
DJ, multi instrumentalist and songwriter released more than 40 vinyl

records including two solo albums and endless rave tracks since turn-
ing 16. As of most recently and even though coming from an electronic

music background DJ Swagger’s creative agenda ventured more and
more into classic songwriting and taking over the role of lead vocalist

of his one-man-band. His third solo album “Chemistry Forever” show-
cases this transformation from UK-influenced electronica towards

neo soul and indie without losing its listeners at any point. His subtle
melancholic vocal performance and the just as subtle, yet constant
pop appeal make this equation solve itself magically. From electro, 2
step and breakbeat over hip-hop, indie and R&B to a final bebop (!)
madness – “Chemistry Forever” is a trip for music lovers while each
and every song has heavy potential to be listened to on repeat.
Besides his own vocal performances DJ Swagger also invited rappers
TripSixVivo (London), Vitus04 (Bielefeld), Kaba (Paris) and poet Dainell
Aiken (NYC) for mesmerizing guest perfomances. Additional production
work came from Hamburg dance producer Speckman and jazz outfit
Jonas Gersema Trio.
Aaaand since we called him a Wunderkind: Be aware that he’s not only
a next level musician, but studied graphic designer, illustrator and
most likely many more things. Just an example: Most recently he sold
self-made perfumed candles through his D.I.Y. label and fashion brand
Goddess Music. He obviously designed everything around the album,
directed the music videos and merch drops are to be expected.
For us, brothers Lukas and Jonathan, the love story goes way back
though. In the midst of the long gone lo-fi house hysteria (2017-2018)
we discovered the Bielefeld native‘s dance floor productions, which
fused hip-hop braggadocio with pumping electronic music. We kept
following up on his ever evolving musical journey into new genres
and felt super honored when he reached out to release his upcoming
projects via Kommerz.

London-based producer Gesture delivers a dynamic display of mutated breaks and beat wizardry on "Check Sum" the 12th release from Redstone Press. Pseudopolis rounds off the four-track EP with an acid-drenched, free-party reminiscing remix.

On "Check Sum", Gesture channels weighty, distorted bass hits, wobbly breakbeats, and tense, hazy pads into a dark sonic offering. Wonky, textured atmospherics drift in, while ghostly Hip Hop and R&B vocal fragments weave in and out. "Grizzlin" introduces echoing dub vocals, skeletal breaks, and blurry organs before diving into a melting pot of spiraling amens, pummeling subs, and aquatic percussive elements. On "PH0L8" Gesture maintains the relentless breakbeat template, adding reverb-soaked 303s, mind-altering breakdowns, and plunging bass drops to create a rich, hypnotic soundscape. Label boss Pseudopolis reinterprets "PH0L8" into acid-techno territory, stripping back the original and adding 4/4 heft and shimmering, ethereal pads. Hold tight for the Reece bass switch-up halfway through.

Danny Goliger has been steadily rising as one of the forefront bass & techno producers in L.A. for several years with releases on staple labels such as Dirtybird, Scuffed Recs, 3024 & Magic City alongside his residency on the renowned Dublab Radio. We are super excited to welcome him to the Faux Poly family with his stunning EP 'Say I Do.'

In Danny's own words: "Inspiration was pretty wide ranging on this EP. From UK funky, to dembow, to dubstep, post-dubstep, and garage. I've incorporated elements of these grooves and aesthetics into modern bassy club tracks."

The EP blends together two 4x4 rollers with "Say I Do" and "Weightless," alongside halftime bass led dubstep tracks "Gimme That" and "Pearls." All of these ideas were born out of modular hardware jams and delivered with Danny's distinctive ear for detail. The whole EP has already become a firm favourite within the Faux Poly family, and if you've seen any of us play this summer, then chances are you've been lucky enough to hear these on a big system already.

Following the development of the project to a solo venture of co-founder James Priestley, Secretsundaze marks another key milestone in 2024 with the release of the first original material by the artist under the Secretsundaze moniker in over 4 years.

Coming out on Berlin institution WARNING, the  WAR1210 EP exhibits the sonic development of Secretsundaze as a producer and DJ. Progressive in outlook, organic in nature, the two tracks (accompanied by remixes from Drua &  Giraffi Dog) help copper fasten the overall landscape for Secretsundaze’s artist vision.

The EP opens with ‘Doesn’t This Sun Feel Great..’, a rising, percussive track that utilises disparate samples and twisted vocal manipulation for a fast paced, dancefloor orientated roller. Progressive in outlook, organic in nature, the track steadily builds throughout, culminating in a deserving, euphoric release. ‘The Real Sun’ takes the sensibilities of the opening track and leans on its raw, rolling percussive energy, keeping things highly functional and grooving.

The B side commences with Drua’s version of ‘Doesn’t This Sun Feel Great’. Drawing for a sonic palette quickly becoming synonymous with him, the remix twists and turns in a mesh of psychedelic progressive and hard hitting tech house. To wrap up proceedings Giraffi Dog delivers his captivating ‘700 Lakeside remix’ of ‘The Real Sun’, pushing boundaries with an inventive score that transforms the original track's energy.

After a brief summer break, SNC Recs returns with its biggest release to date. To celebrate the label’s five-year anniversary, Felix, Valentin & Emi have united their network for a special compilation: Ravers United Against Fascism. Given the current political climate, SNC aims to raise awareness and speak out loud against fascism and all right-wing ideologies. Therefore, all proceeds will be donated to apabiz (www.apabiz.de), which focuses on monitoring and analyzing the extreme right in Germany after 1945. 

Not only do ravers unite, but so does the SNC label family. Alongside familiar names like Raphael Schön, AZO, Parco Palaz, The Duty Freedom, Friedrich Ernst, Chocolate Grinder (1/2 of Duo Paradiso) and Fufi.SNC, new faces also join the compilation. Renowned producers Dangerous Dreaming, KARO and Jetson G make their debuts, while newcomers Freddo, Tschstin, and DJ H3NN7 also get their moment to shine.

The release features an overall house vibe, with two UKG tunes and a spherical breakbeat closer by the mind behind the Chronic Durations EP. SNCS02 perfectly captures the essence of a SNC Crew DJ set and reflects the label’s musical direction over the past years. This release is just the beginning of more quality sounds to come, so keep up the support, and let’s stand together against all fascists out there!

Emerging electronic artist OJ is set to captivate listeners by releasing her highly anticipated EP, Portal Access Points. This otherworldly collection pushes the boundaries of electronic music incorporating percussive rhythms & an ethereal universe through its unique, genre-bending approach. Within the Portal Access Points EP, artists IN2STELLAR, GoodMostlyBad and Maude Vôs collaborate with OJ’s originals to present their unique interpretations.
